Ebay bucks can be pretty awesome at times. Like today they are running an extra 8% off video game stuff in addition to the 2% that you already get. Pretty sweet.

Absolutely need a Sly Cooper 5 and would love to see the HD Collection make the jump to PS4, or at least make them DL available for PS2 on PS4!!!!

Thus far, the best Android game I've played is Danmaku Unlimited 2, which granted I played on Steam but it was originally an AndroidOS game.KalessinDB wrote:This. I'll play any game that's good (or entertainingly bad), but I just can't really get into any current mobile games that I've tried. At best, they're time wasters with no depth. The closest I've come to actual enjoyment is with Pixel Dungeon and its offshoots.the7k wrote:I don't really care if I'm playing on an android platform, windows platform or anything else. As long as the game is good, that's all that matters. That's the only reason I don't currently game on android. As soon as they step their game up, that will likely change.marlowe221 wrote: Is this the future?
Plus I haven't yet acclimated to playing on a touch screen. I imagine I could, eventually.
Touch screen input will only work for a very select number of genres. RTS, CCG, Puzzle, Life Sim, Visual Novel and maybe a few others I'm neglecting. It will be mediocre at best for most "core" genres such as shooters, fighting games, platformers, etc - at worst, it'll be downright unplayable.
There are controllers out there for AndroidOS, it's just that 99% of the people gaming on it are using touch screens. I think touch screen support should be handled in a similar fashion to how Tatsunoko vs Capcom handled Wii Remote support. Yeah, you can play it that way, but it ultra-simplifies things. It streamlines it in a way that it isn't frustrating or complex, but at the same time there's gonna be certain moves that are flat-out impossible to do. If you want the full experience, you need a pad or stick, simple as that.

Fast Racing Neo is awesome. This game looks and plays so smoothly and it just makes me want a new f-zero all the much more. But I'm happy with this purchase and I'd recommend it to anyone with a wii u that likes racing games

I'm a huge fan of the series. Seriously good stuff. I'd love to see a Sly 5. I think the only one that's disappointed me any at all was Sly 3, and even that was solid.TEKTORO wrote:Absolutely need a Sly Cooper 5 and would love to see the HD Collection make the jump to PS4, or at least make them DL available for PS2 on PS4!!!!

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
I occasionally get struck by the desire to collect an entire series, especially one that spans multiple systems (generations/companies even better). My Castlevania collection is as done as it's going to get - I have all the officially named "Castlevania" releases put out in the US on any sort of console or handheld (missing the Tiger Watch, but the rare occasion I see that listed on ebay it's at ridiculous prices like $1k and... no) and even a few imports (I don't normally collect imports, there's just so many US based games to get!), and I just finished my Dr Mario collection (a whopping 4 titles).
We've been watching Resident Evil and Saw lately at work, which has made me want to collect Silent Hill now, but that'll probably die down in a few days. I am considering trying to do maybe Zelda, that's always been a favorite (though to be honest, my interest peaked at the original, probably just from nostalgia) and I do have 2 of the 3 CDi titles already (though not Zelda Adventure, which is of course the most expensive)

Gunning for a licensed NES NTSC-U set, follow the madness and poverty here!

We need platformers period! Stoked for the Ratchet PS4 game. I hope the Crash rumors are true about it maybe making a comeback.TEKTORO wrote:Absolutely need a Sly Cooper 5 and would love to see the HD Collection make the jump to PS4, or at least make them DL available for PS2 on PS4!!!!

Never been a big Crash fan, and I also like the Jak series the least. But I'm definitely game for a new Ratchet & Clank. In some ways, it reminds me of Mega Man with all the different weapon selections.
Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
Nice to see some Sly fans, it dawned on me that there isn't one announced yet. I know Sly 4 ended with signs pointing to a part 5 but that's was 2013. Also love Infamous for having a few Sly Cooper references!
Rachet and Clank is coming soon and will most likely be trying that series for the first time, I like the Mega Man comparison that's an interesting point.

You owe it to yourself to play them all. The Megaman comparison isn't far off at all, they are different than traditional platformers and have a high emphasis on crazy weapons. The writing, characters, humor and stories are consistently amazing and the world is fantastic. The first game is really rough though and can be extremely frustrating haha, but it's worth chugging through to get to the goods.
Jak is dooky compared to Ratchet and Sly on my list. I haven't even played 2-3 yet, but the GTA comparisons, lack of strafing, bad checkpoints apparently, etc don't excite me in the least.
I'm still only halfway through Sly, haven't played 3-4 yet. But I enjoyed 1-2 a ton. Looking forward to the rest!
You've seen the videos of the new R&C, at least right? It looks incredible. More proof how good pure exclusives can look. It's a reboot but they're bringing in Dr Nefarious, so I am 200% okay with that.Sarge wrote:Never been a big Crash fan, and I also like the Jak series the least.
