Just to add -- Saturn rips can be extremely picky about what program you use to burn them. If you know what dumping group did the dump (Trurip, TOSEC-ISO, Redump, Darkwater) I would google them to find out who they say to use to burn their discs. I had several games that were perfectly playable but with intermittently messed up audio, very similar to what you're describing, and the problem was I wasn't using the burning program that the dumping group recommended. Switch to the recommended one and it cleared it right up.

If you don't know what dumping ground did the dump... get a new dump.
Gunning for a licensed NES NTSC-U set, follow the madness and poverty here!
Cheat sheet of my collection, always looking to increase it. 405/677 licensed games, 46/"95" unlicensed

Hi there,

I just burned two copies of this fantastic game a couple of days ago. They both work properly. Be careful, actually there are two different variants of the US version: The original one is English-dubbed, whereas there is another one which is English-translated but maintaining the Japanese dub. The latter lacks the voices in the diaries, or at least this is what I have noticed in my copy.

In addition, the image source can be critical. I got audio issues and missing tracks in several games. Sometimes, when the problem refers to disordered audio tracks, it can be fixed just generating a new CUE file with Sega CUE Maker. In other cases, the problems simply go away by using an image from a different source (best results with CloneCD -.ccd- images).

Good luck and enjoy this wonderful game!

Just to be clear, and completely hypothetically since these are your backups...
Do you have any release groups you favour (due to their tags or their catchy name) that someone having problems might look up?
I tend to favour TOSEC because they name their releases by number so you can't screw up.
Also, funny story, I looked through an archive of a forum from one of the original GURUS and paraphrasing "there is no reason to ever keep .SUB files. Through much testing, no games use that..."
Also, I've found it much faster to create .CCD images by burning a disc with IMGBurn, and then dumping the burnt disc to .CCD than any other automated process I could manufacture through scripts. Buy dollar-store cds and save a headache via landfill dumping :D .

I'm not that much into release groups, but I'd rather recommend you the image file repository at Edge Emulation, given that all are CCD images and quite reliable, with a great variety as well. 8)
