Yeah, the 1 TB model is currently $2 cheaper than the 500 GB model. It's funny when that happens. Although, this wasn't the case when I bought mine. I have the 500 GB model.
I just noticed that the WD Passport 500 GB drive is even cheaper right now. As far as I can tell, the Elements line is just the basic HDD and the Passport line is the same drives but with extra crap that you wouldn't need for the Wii (encryption, auto backup features, cloud). The Elements drives are the cheaper product than Passport for this reason, but yeah, Amazon price fluctuations.

I still want to get Captain Toad, Mario Maker, Yoshi, more of Platinum's games, Nintendoland and the remixes, the first Sonic U game, Fatal Frame 5, Xenoblade X, and some others. By the end of the day I'm sure I can rack up 20-30 Wii U games and I'd consider that a worthy system in my library. Plus my VC library is freaking stacked right now. I beat those as I buy them but there's at least like 20 some titles I plan to buy and replay when the mood strikes.
I'm starting to believe the theories that the new Zelda will truly be on both the U and NX. If so, I'll probably buy an NX for it.
I hope the NX is backward compatible with both Wii U and Wii games and peripherals, and that the Wii U VC library carries over and they retool the online stuff better (again). That's probably my biggest fear with the NX. I don't want them to reboot their online shop a third time. To salvage some of the lack of U sales, I think backward compatibility with it would be a smart move and keep some of those games on shelves and selling a bit longer. Also crossing my fingers that they simply keep the Pro controller design and that becomes the primary.

Still multiple copies at Target and Best Buy up here.
I can find the second print without Bayonetta 1 in most stores. It's the first print that is hard to find. Easy $60+ flip if you can buy the first print for $30.
That's a good list of titles there Xeogred and I can vouch for most of them being worth getting. Mario Maker is one of the big glaring holes in my Wii U collection. Well that and Wind Waker.

Wind Waker is actually tough to find in these parts. In fact, I went to grab it at Best Buy today and they no longer had a slot for it. Got Nintendo Selects Super Mario Galaxy 2 instead (finally!).
Xeo nice wish list, but it is Nintendo. I could see them doing the BC angle with physical media, but with accounts? No. They'll pull a Sony and make you re-buy all the stuff that's parked on the old hardware so they can rob you of an added charge. They probably would do what they did before, release stuff very slowly, and then allow you the upgrade purchase price which was like 2/3 off the retail value. Nintendo wouldn't just give something away unless they got backed into a corner like the ambassador program on 3DS.

I don't see a huge difference, at least with Skyward Sword. Maybe that game is just jaggy central no matter how you cut it?
I'd buy a WiiU HD release of it in a heartbeat. lol
Speaking of... do you guys know of any way I could get a completed Skyward Sword save on my WiiU so I have access to Hero Mode? I beat it on one of my old Wii's I still have around but the transfer process looks painful to say the least. I wonder if I could just download a save from elsewhere and get it on my U?
