True Gaming Confessions
Re: True Gaming Confessions
I threw away my entire NES collection when I was younger. In my defense, we were throwing away a ton of stuff in the house due to an incindent involving a skunk spraying into the central air. Fortunately, the SNES and Genesis were spared.

1. Most retro games are starting to bore me
2. I LOVE Lost Planet
Can't really think of anything else.

Older. Not wiser.

I've never played Ocarina of Time
Re: True Gaming Confessions
1: I once sold my Jaguar, Saturn, Playstation, Dreamcast collections to pawn shops cause i needed a few fixes.
I got them back now but i paid a hefty price to get back to where i once was. there was a couple of games back then that i got a whopping 3$ for, now they can net me half a month's pay.
2: I have a couple thousand games total for all systems and i might have played through about 15 of them. Bad habit of buying them and letting them rot on my shelf or in an attic box (PC included)
3: In the past few weeks i havent worked as hard on the atari jaguar 101 thing for racketboy as much as i should have been and it makes me feel bad.
4: If anyone is near Norfolk, VA; it would be nice to find you all. My wife hates games, and i feel like a videogame nerd all alone in the world.
5: I played wow for 4 years and i hated just about every minute of it but they needed a tank

Re: True Gaming Confessions
In RPGs, I regularly give up on games when I'm at the final boss, to move to another game. I think subconsciously I feel like I've done everything there needs to be done and often I don't care for endings and credits.
Actually scratch that, I regularly never even get to the final boss in most games I buy.
Actually, sometimes I never even play the games I buy, much less open them.
Somehow, my girlfriend still loves my sad ass.

Re: True Gaming Confessions
I gave away Vampire Savior, Xmen vs. Street Fighter, Street Fighter Zero 3, Marvel vs Street Fighter and the 4 meg Capcom ram cart to a friend because the 4 in 1 pro Action Replay stopped working for my Saturn.
Haven't played a Final Fantasy game after VII
I dressed like Terry Bogard in middle school
I still haven't played MGS4 but consider myself a MGS fan boy
I have never seen the 2nd and 3rd Star Wars films (not really gaming but I thought I would throw that one in)
There are others... I'm just not willing to admit them yet.

Re: True Gaming Confessions
1. I only own two fighting games for the PlayStation, Marvel vs. Capcom and Bushido Blade 2. The vast majority of my PS collection is made of RPGs.
2. I still hate platformers, though certain ones do make me feel all nostalgic. Mega Man gets a free pass if only because it's awesome.
3. I also hate the RTS genre.
4. And the sports genre.
5. Not a big fan of racing either, though MarioKart in any version gets a free pass, and Burnout's pretty good.
6. Many of my favorite games are exceedingly violent, and three of my favorite genres are some of the worst offenders: Fighting, Survival Horror, and First Person Shooters.
7. I've never beaten a Metroid game. I've also never owned one. I've also never beat a StarFox game, though I own the SNES version.
8. I think Halo, Counterstrike, Starcraft, and Tekken are all horrible.
9. Before picking up Samurai Shodown on the SNES three years ago, I had never played an SNK fighting game.
10. I actually enjoy First Person Shooters set in World War II. I've never grown tired of them.
11. I didn't own a SNES until 1996. Before then, all I played was an NES I'd gotten at some point in the late 1980s, and my GameBoy. That NES was given away by my mother around 1998, along with my games, such as Mega Man 6, Star Wars, and Empire Strikes Back.
Need I continue?

Re: True Gaming Confessions
-I own two Sega Saturns and about 15 games but I've only really played Clockwork Knight 2, Virtua Fighter 2, and Virtua Cop
-I own but have never played Chrono Trigger (Of course, I've only had it for about a month, but still.)
-The only console JRPG I've beaten is Baten Kaitos 1
-The N64 was my first console, but the only game I've beaten on it is Pokemon Puzzle League.
-I would estimate I have about 65ish games I have yet to play.
