So I guess the new Fire Emblem is not going to be dual audio, but the last one was? lol, so much for thinking we were finally going to have Japanese audio options in as a standard thesedays. I'm still irked Xenoblade X doesn't have it... when again, the original Xenoblade did. How does that make sense?

Fire Emblem Fates is probably down to the size of the 3DS game card. Sounds like the game is pretty packed as is.

Well, I just lost my first real XCOM 2 game. I say real because my first game I got two terrible missions back to back in the first couple months and aborted, and second game I got wiped out early and called it. This was the first game where I actually had a decent thing going before I was finally overwhelmed. But I learned a lot, and I now know things to do differently in future games.

Also, hopefully I don't end up getting a ton of rookies promoting to Sharpshooters. I want a few, but I had to respond to a terror mission with four of them (and a Ranger and a Specialist) because the rest of my guys were in the infirmary.

I have been using that facility to train my rookies to squaddies and my choice of class. Very nice for team balance.

Oh yeah, I always had a rookie in it. But every battlefield rookie managed to promote into sharpshooter for some godawful reason. My current game is going better. I got a sergeant in the first month and took down the blacksite before my first supply drop.

Oh yeah, this campaign is going MUCH better. I've been stomping on Advent bases as they pop up and so far have only fully failed one mission; most of my squad was wounded so I had to take a pack of rookies to a Retaliation mission where Berserkers first show up. The civilians never had a chance. Though the two snipers with the rookies did manage to take down the last of the Mutons, so I still recovered a bunch of corpses. And fortunately losing a retaliation is not NEARLY as bad as losing a Terror Mission from EU/EW. There was one other mission that was very costly for me; I lost half my squad on extract because instead of boogieing to the extract point with both moves I spent one move to set up overwatch on a reinforcement flare, figuring I could get an extra kill or two and then make it to the extract point on the next turn even if enemies were still up. Well... half my squad could make it, but the other half turned out to not have enough move to get there, and the squad did a poor job on the overwatch.

Still, I'm on a good path. I only have 9 soldiers, though (though they're all officers of some kind), so I think I need to start training up some rookies to give me more striking power. I'm finding it harder and harder to make it through a mission with the team mostly unscathed, and unlike EU/EW armor doesn't help you stay out of the hospital; it just keeps you out of the morgue. I've also got a Psi Lab nearly finished, so I'll also be trying out some Psi troops in the near future. And I think I want to start getting the Plasma weaponry. With Berserkers and Avatars I'm now having to expend a significant amount of firepower to take enemies down, and that's getting me to take unnecessary fire.
