Re: Nintendo 3DS
I don't mind about the face rubbing thing being removed from Fire Emblem mostly because I own other games that do a similar thing and it was boring as shit in all of them.
The project DIVA games let you rub vocaloids faces in the room decorating mode, and it just feels kinda creepy, and honestly a little tedious. Not sexually creepy as such, though there are probably elements of it, but just kinda...weird and possessive.
They also did a similar thing in the most recent Pokémon games. In that game it even makes more sense as at least you're petting animals for the most part, but it still felt awkward and tedious.
I'm not saying a feature should be removed because I don't like it, or that this was the right and/or wrong choice either way, just that it doesn't bother me none.
And there were a ton of people up in arms about this feature when it was announced anyway. And I'm not talking about people who found it offensive as such, but rather long-time Fire Emblem fans who thought it was ruining their series.

You've obviously not played the Doki Doki Majo Shinpan games. The death of many a hentai otaku's DS touchscreen.alienjesus wrote:because I own other games that do a similar thing and it was boring as shit in all of them

Don't worry, Exhuminator-senpai. The Oculus Rift and similar VR technology (especially Playstation VR) will surely scratch our pervy weeb itch.

I'm picturing Lister from Red Dwarf with the Better Than Life VR headset.

Oh hell yes! Is Sega finally figuring out they should be localizing stuff again? This bodes well for Valkyrie of the Azure Flame.
Edit:
Original voices confirmed. Even more excitement to be had by me.

Everyone seems really excited by 7th Dragon blahblah JRPGName, but I've literally never heard about it or the series it's from. Someone fancy bringing me up to speed?

Here's a decent primer on the series:alienjesus wrote:Everyone seems really excited by 7th Dragon blahblah JRPGName, but I've literally never heard about it or the series it's from. Someone fancy bringing me up to speed?

The first game for DS has an English fan translation. The 3DS one being localized isn't included in that primer.
