What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?

Ditto.

I find the concept of dating websites bizarre, like sending in a relationship resume, but then again I'm not a very sociable person with complete strangers. If I had to "go on a date" with someone to get to know them I'd be absolutely trash at it. My relationships always started as friendships.

I say that semi jokingly. I imagine it can be a nice perk to some people looking for a mate though. Or maybe not? lol

Definitely wish I had a house now though!
Haha, I do have a house - a three bedroom (one is the game room) - but I rent. I also live in a really shitty town (but it's only 2 miles from the school, so I can sleep till 7 and still clock in before 7:30).

I used to consider online dating, because my half-brother did meet his wife through Match.com, but I eventually reconsidered it. I'm reaaaally bad with people I don't know (it's scary enough signing up for forums Xp), so I just decided to focus more on just making friends and practicing talking with people, at least while I'm still in college.

I had a gem of a toy find a few hours ago, also had a rewards count discount too which sweetened the deal but I think I'd have bought it anyway.

I never ever thought I'd see this again (was my first transformer as a kid I think, this or Optimus Prime, never had more than 2-3 of the things.)

Generation 1 - Transformer - Jazz -- Complete in the box (minus some plastic holding tray.)
I paid $35 for this which is my new desk buddy, and the box it up on top of my pinball machine right next to a sealed up GIJoe Armadillo I've yet to assemble (if I do.)

No idea if I did well or not, didn't really care all things considered. They also had 2 Decepticon/Insecticons too -- Shrapnel and Kickback, never was big on that line. They're all $50 but I had a 25% off rewards card.

I don't know anything about toy prices but I'd say you did well. It's all in beautiful shape.

You did much better than average for an incomplete open box ($50-60). That plastic holder would make it complete, and would up the value to $150-200. Atleast by Transformersland - but in my recent Transformers dealings it has been pretty accurate.

:P: So today didn't end up being to bad aside from my starter cutting out on me mid route. Luckily my brother was free so he was able to run out and help me. We initially thought it was the battery but my jumper/power source that I keep in the car didn't do anything so we took it into a battery shop who told us the battery was in tip top shape, and they suggested testing the connections since the ignition wouldn't turn over at all. So we got back all the connections seemed to be fine though so we tried the other suggestion that the battery shop told us and that was banging on the starter while you turn the ignition that seemed to solve it so I managed to finish my route although I couldn't deliver a few larger packages since we aren't allowed to leave our vehicles on any time we step out.

Anyways looks like my bank is going to be taking a nice hit as I was also planning to get some snow tires this week since my Wrangler Radials just aren't cutting it in this weather :P. Will probably end up picking up a spare battery as well just in case it isn't the starter.

On the dating site topic...

I have never used one myself, I've been married 8 years now, but I have several friends who have tried it. Two are now married (off eharmony), another is engaged (off match), and another has been dating a girl he met on a site for a couples years now (though we all cant stand her).

A female coworker of mine has had less success and has cancelled and turned them back on several times, but she is also extremely picky. She is currently dating someone from a site though.

My friend who is married use them for awhile and would kind of chronicle his adventures to me. He said OK cupid was almost more of a hook up site than a long term dating one. He also told me Eharmony seemed more catered for Christians, which he is. He also felt a lot of girls weren't serious, but were there to get free nights out and dinners.

My female coworker stories are interesting as they are from a different angle. Not surprisingly, there are a ton of guys on there who have no idea how to talk to women but think they do. Some of them were just embarrassingly bad. Like "Hey gurl you so fine I see yu lik to work out what other activities do u like to do that make you sweat? Spelling and grammar were intentional. She also had a few 50-60 year olds message her trying to be a sugar daddy type situation.

Online dating sucks period. I've gotten plenty of first dates from Tinder and OKCupid and the like and they have all sucked. Maybe that says more about me than the sites though. I don't know.

Ticked: I hate job hunting. The feelings of anxiety, excitement, and disappointment in the cycle is only compounded by my personal financial deadline. But it's not like you can just not look right? It's hard to find places that only want you to be around two, maybe three days a week though. I've gotten a few offers but scheduling conflicts have made those fall through - which is annoying because I've made it clear in every interview I cannot do Tuesday through Thursday period. I think I'll stop into the uni's career center. Maybe they can get me a few interviews.

To be fair, real life dating also leads to a lot of terrible dates.
