It sounds like you're upset that you ended up with two cats.Exhuminator wrote:S: My wife (vet tech) is bringing a dog home for us to foster over the weekend.

Oh no, the cats are great. The lab/terrier dogga mix can be... uh, challenging at times. Love her though. But no more! My OCD and furniture can't take it.

Ahhh, so it's the dogs that are the problem. I'm not surprised; cats are the superior pet.Exhuminator wrote:Oh no, the cats are great. The lab/terrier dogga mix can be... uh, challenging at times. Love her though. But no more! My OCD and furniture can't take it.

Not malice. It's just an extension of their superiority over us humans.ElkinFencer10 wrote:But cats are such narcissistic little balls of malice...MrPopo wrote:Ahhh, so it's the dogs that are the problem. Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
Recently I have been trying to buy lots of GBC/GBA games since I have a whole lot of more expensive titles on my wish list and that seems like the logical way to get a good deal since unless your a real hoarder you usually have a bunch of dups you will have to get rid of which drives most buyers away. However it seems like every auction ends up with 2-3 of the same 10k plus feedback resellers going at it in the last 2-3 secs and paying 80% or more of the lots retail value which is just idiotic since that leaves them with a net profit of 5-10% unless they are getting some huge break on fees. Really game lots in general seem like a big circle jerk on eBay and I honestly wish they would allow rolling bids so these guys could continue to f#$%# each other over into infinity.
Anyways eBay rant of the week. Back to Amazon Warehouse I go

They do get breaks from what I remember of store owners who resell saying back on Nintendo Age conversations I read and also from Piko. I remember something to the effect of if you pay the yearly fee to have a store front, you get a lot of free listings every month, well beyond the standard 50/mo people get. So that's .30 cents saved there. You also get some decent cuts on what they pocket on the back end on the FVF and shipping FVF I believe as well. Also while a standard user usually can get around a 20% savings on the price of printing shipping through ebay, a store owner gets even more back.
Sure it's a few dollars here, a few cents there per item, but if you're one of those mass peddlers who sell hundred or more games a month, the savings having the store front is huge and you make back the fee.
So yeah, they maybe nibbling at an apparent 5-10% profit margin, but really it's probably more like 15% or better easily. Sure some games will sit, but they buy bundles usually because there's some decent mid to better end price value games lost in the pile. That helps inch up the value even further where it may look like small beans, but they know what they can move, how fast, and for how much and they are seeing dollar signs when a normal person is like screw it.
Perhaps try for Japanese lots. They tend to have some decent value games that end up in the pile of junk, and as long as it's not some RPG/ARPG/SIM where words are needed, you can find a lot of fun we never got or save on the value of not buying the US release.
