Trails of Cold Steel.

Which is outstanding by the way. So much fun. You should play it.

Not that I think you were on the fence about this particular game, but it doesn't hurt to sing its praises just the same.

Yeah I have yet to pick that one up. I'm lazy as shit and never get anything at launch. Hell, a few months ago I finally bought the first Legend of Heroes game.

:x First day of my drawing class this quarter, and I slip on some black ice and pull a muscle in my leg ow. I had it checked out and it should be ok, but it hurt enough that I couldn't really go to class.

Hopefully this isn't a sign for a bad quarter :|

Dragon Slayer?

I've been eyeballing that one lately myself. Have you played it yet?

Yeah, Dragon Slayer: The Legend of Heroes. Only English version is for TurboGrafx CD. It's rather expensive, in case you didn't notice.

It's alright. It's a pretty straightforward JRPG with some great music and horrendous voice acting. To be honest, the series doesn't really do anything unique or mind-blowing until the sixth installment (TitS).

So I guess you could say at that point then, the series went TitS up.

:D Checked out a new place in my city. It's a combination burger joint/bar/arcade and it's pretty much heaven. They just opened like a week and a half ago so it's not perfect yet, but they're obviously dedicated. Biggest flaw right now is no bar yet, still waiting on the liquor license.

Food: very basic menu (burgers, veggie burgers, fries, milkshakes, cans of pop. Eventually adding chicken sandwiches and onion rings) that's maybe a tad expensive but VERY tasty for what it is.

Games: 16-18 cabs (off the top of my head: Simpsons, X-Men, Star Wars Arcade, NFL Blitz, X-men vs Street Fighter, Asteroids Deluxe, Space Invaders Deluxe, Time Crisis, House of the Dead 2, Tekken Tag, Super Street Fighter 2 Hyper Fighting, Gauntlet Legends) and 6 or 8 pins (late 70's Playboy, Pin-Bot, Shaq Attack, couple others). They claim eventually they'll have consoles to rent on the upper floor, which is currently just extra seating.

It's in an old converted church. It's far from perfect (apparently they had onion rings the first few nights but yanked them off the menu after complaints they suck, the coin mechs are very squirrelly whether you use quarters or tokens, a few buttons are dead), but it has enormous potential. I'm very excited about this one.
Gunning for a licensed NES NTSC-U set, follow the madness and poverty here!
Cheat sheet of my collection, always looking to increase it. 405/677 licensed games, 46/"95" unlicensed

Went to a independent gameshop guy who works there doesn't know the difference between composite and and s-video. Over flow of stock of all retro games. He tried to sell me composite cable as as s-video cable. He should lose his business for lying. Pawnshop owner overstock Nintendo 3ds overstock bad pricing, never buy from there. Video game re-sellers are horrible, they think games are retro games are collectible. Tales: mega man (don't remember which grey gameboy) and donkey Kong 1st release on gameboy. He wanted megaman for $15 together $25. Not a good at all. Real value of megaman 5 or 6 loose cart, walked away. Ps2 slim AC she wanted $10 told her I rather eat in-n-out burger combo, walk away. She was moody from the start. Gunsmoke $15 loose cart is 6 or 8, walked away. Damaged cart (a cut/crack from edge side Zelda 64 majora mask for $30. Ugly label. These aggressive re-sellers try to sell loose cart that are baked in suns weather every day along with dust. Most carts are dried barely readable. Old guy wanted to sell a sega Saturn for $40 1 game area51: no controllers or hookups. He wanted my money badly, I told him off: I said I have a college degree that is worthy to me, I know he has no college/high school degree. College students still have to pay back the school. People want triple the cost for games, I rather eat food. I actually found a Saturn for cheap with hookups. Sega Saturn are unreliable, I own two of them. The reseller could've sold me a broken one. He told if its broken (no refunds or exchanges) then place it as a collectible trophy display, that was horseshit. Who wants to own broken shit, nobody. Sorry had to get this off my chest. Games are to be played and have fun with others. Collecting is horrible especially re-sellers. I'm glad by the next gen consoles will probably be discless. As long as there is a hard drive or bluray drive for movies maybe some greatest hits should be made the few on discs, while the rest on digital stream format. I usually walk away from bad deals. Sorry about this long rant. Its hard to type all this on phone
