Flamelurker is definitely one of the wall bosses. When he goes into his apeshit phase you need to take him down fast or he's going to overwhelm you.

Yep...I got him to that phase last night (and spent a lot of items doing it). He promptly murdered me...

Tonight, I am going to try ranged magical attacks, and if that doesn't work, I will just pound sand (and, perhaps, try breaking out a shield of some sort).

Mass Effect 1's DLC isn't too bad but isn't up to the standard of ME2's (though not many are outside of Bethesda/Rockstar add-ons).

Bring Down the Sky is the better of the two, essentially a side-mission set on an asteroid hurtling towards a human colony. It also introduces the Batarians aka Space Terrorists. Pinnacle Station is only worth it if you like the combat in the game as it's a bunch of simulator style missions from what I remember.

It should be noted though that ME2's DLC Arrival does the whole "asteroid on collision course" thing better than BDTS and ME3's Citadel (which IMO is the best ME DLC), while pricey features a combat simulator as a bonus while also just having better gunplay on the whole.

Terranimga

Only about an hour in. Haven't played this one in years.

It's pretty damn impressive already. The graphics are gorgeous (it has one of the best-looking overworlds I've ever seen in a video game) and the music is something special too.

I appreciate the experimentation Quintet did with the game's predecessors, but I like how this one just plays it straight. It's one of the best 16-bit action-RPGs. One of the best action-RPGs of any generation, really.

I hope you didn't forget to open up Mu or the Polynesian Islands!

Everything I did in Terranigma was made better by the music. Even though magic was mostly superfluous, I went into the shops all the time (or hung out on the load game screen) just to listen to the Prime Blue theme. Elle(s) and Feada were my favorite characters because of their themes. I would always stop in on the Quattro Troop's encampment because of the BGM there, and for the ambiance that accompanied their traveling band of merriment.

The music, mechanics, style, and story in the game made it really easy to forgive things like the slightly choppy scrolling, slight lack of precision in the controls at times, and that phoned in scenario with Yomi near the end of the game.

Only an hour in, have you actually reached the overworld yet?

Gorgeous scrolling.

As far as the music goes... how 'bout that tune that plays when you revive the continents. Unf.
