Online dating starts to take off once you graduate. At that point you have far fewer opportunities to meet people so online dating becomes more attractive.

I understand that, but going to such a large college we have a very small amount of users, at least from what I've been told and able to find out for myself. Even comparable to the colleges closest to my hometown we have nothing, and one of them is a small private college. Outside of the bar scene its hard to find anyone who is looking to date here at times, especially for anything more than the night, surprisingly enough.MrPopo wrote:Online dating starts to take off once you graduate. That's what my counselor kept mentioning too. I might give it a shot when I get some decent pictures, we'll see.BoneSnapDeez wrote:I recommend OkCupid.

Yeah, the difference in usefulness of online dating depending on where you are is astounding. In Spain it's not seen as acceptable so there are very few people and the ones that are tend to be a very specific type.
I went to the Netherlands a couple weeks ago and got more Tinder matches one night I was bored than I ever did here.
Ok Cupid is a pretty good website. It's straight to the point, well-designed and it lets you actively filter people (Eg. Racists). It has the usual issues of online dating, namely that women tend to have terrible profiles and don't message anyone, but I guess that comes with the territory

A lot of people claim to meet at church. Find a church that matches your particular beliefs well (not just your proclaimed religion or denomination, but your particular faith characteristics). People will probably be climbing all over themselves to set you up with someone once you've become a welcome member of their community.
