How is your PSOne/PS1 gaming going?
Re: How is your psone/ps1 gaming going on
I have a question. I need help looking for this. It was a gampro magazine dedicated to the PlayStation lineup and reviewing the library. It was red I think and I know it had tekken 3 along with re2, spyro and crash on the cover. It reviewed games in categories and gave the faces for reviewing. It came out in 1999 or 2000. Does anyone have an idea what the magazine was? Trying to get that magazine back.

Could it have possibly been any of these?:mas wrote:I have a question. I need help looking for this. It was a gampro magazine dedicated to the PlayStation lineup and reviewing the library. No it was winter2000/2001 issue called PlayStation encyclopedia. Found it. Damn I would love to find that issue again

I'm looking for an official psone ac adapter. The one I own is a 3rd party and doesn't put out the actual power for the psone screen to play. Please let me know. I'm also looking for the original white psone controller and memory cards for the psone.
Thanks
Thanks

Got hooked on some Wipeout XL again earlier this week. Game gets insanely fast once you hit the upper leagues.

Played a little nice wrestling game called smackdown 2. That still is such a fun game. Today I think I'm going to play spyro and try to actually beat it

I haven't looked into Playstation much, but now that I'm on the Sony train I'm going to start digging. I know Symphony of the Night and Back to Nature are must have, but I'm not sure what else I'm interested in.

I know it's a little pricey, but if you like more strategy-heavy RPG's, Tactics Ogre is top notch IMO.

I brought a ps1 console upstairs in my bedroom with some quick games like street fighter and more trilogy and some other games like striker 1945. The arcade ports are very good and it's fun playing them before I pass out to dreamland

Re: How is your PSOne/PS1 gaming going?
I have 58 physical titles for the PSOne at this point and this is after getting rid of spindles of CDRs that harkened back to 1998. I've used it somewhat recently to play some Point Blank 2 as the Guncon needs the original PS1 to work.
I typically use my PS2 slim to play (I was messing around with the original NFL Gameday and Castlevania SOTN), and it was only somewhat recently that I learned that the PS3 had backwards compatibilty with the PS1.
The only physical title I keep after is Einhander, and that price has rocketed in recent years. It's been on the JPN PSN for a while, but no US version...although Sony continues to release new PSOne classics for the PS3/Vita/PSP - even as recent as months ago with Mega Man Legends and Tomba 2. Maybe there's a chance that makes an appearance.
That said, my PS1 buying is all through sales on PSN. as a PS+ member they end up being $1.50 from $5.99 on their sales, and sometimes $1 if there's a great flash sale. And the sales can also be on items they've released within the year also - Misadventures of Tronn Bonne being a big title (also Echo Night and Shadow Tower). Great to see these still coming out (I searched the store online and sorted through to see these by added date - some great titles of late).
I have 53 games there and there is some overlap with my physical collection (Final Fantasy titles and Square games in general) but I do like the flexibility of putting these on a Vita memory card.
