Played a bit of F355 over the weekend. I tend to prefer 3rd person racers over 1st, but this one handles well enough. Difficulty spikes rapidly with each track, and it seems that this is a bit less arcadey than I like my racers. But it looks good for the most part.

Noise I'm very happy for you that your back in Dreamcast mode. A couple of years ago reading your blogs on Dreamcast and the reviews and I think when the Dreamcast threads started made me want to get a Dreamcast and collect. I was doing really good on collecting back in the day and had to sell it for bills but whatever.
Im happy I have a Dreamcast again and it came from my brother who gave it to me for free and skate hooked me up with some prime titles. Not legit games but back ups and I'm very happy with that.
If I find some DC games cheap I'll pick them up but I'm not looking at eBay and retro stores anymore for retail prices

It's a game that demands respect, for sure. At least that was my impression playing the 3 screen arcade cabinet. Even now, still can't get past 3rd on Motegi or 2nd on Suzuka Short. I like that the extra tracks from the arcade revision are there too via password entry on Options screen, press X+Y and then enter the following codes -
CinqueValvole
LiebeFrauMilch
Stars&Stripes
KualaLumpur
DaysofThunder

I popped in NCAA Football 2K2 last night. Damn good game. Finding it more challenging than NFL 2K was. I don't know if that's because I'm playing as BC and maybe they weren't a great team in 2002 (I've never followed any college sports), or if it's just a more challenging game. I gave up like 3 turnovers and ended up losing 28-7. Rough.

But I'm gonna keep the season going, see how far I can make it.

Yeah bc football is average at best any year. If you are good at the game you should still beat the computer easily though.

it threw me off to lose the first game by so much. I had a perfect season in NFL 2K.

I popped in NCAA 2K2 late last night, but rage-quit by halftime. I don't know what it is, but I'm really not connecting with this one like I did NFL 2K. Either the game is too difficult, or my team just sucks, or I'm just not having fun enough to 'get gud.' There's also the fact that because I'm not a college football follower, I have no connection to any of these teams. But I'm having a lot of trouble completing passes and I'm giving away a lot of interceptions. It's so different than my experience w/ NFL 2K. Really weird.

Not sure I'll be able to stick with this one for a full season, honestly.

How much did Under Defeat set you back? I've always wanted to pick it up. I"m deliberating on whether to pick it up on Dreamcast or the HD remaster on PS3.
