VGA is the reason my Dreamcast joins the PS3, PS4, Wii U etc downstairs on the big television, whilst all my other retro consoles are upstairs connected to a smaller TV.

The DC just looks glorious when connected by VGA.

word.

Have you played Sturmwind? That game via VGA could pass for a 360 game.

I've also mentioned in the past that it wasn't until I played Sonic thru VGA (Smash Pack) that I realized just how incredible that sprite work really was.

But that sound, that SOUND! It wasn't till I recently played Revenge of Shinobi on the Retron 5 that I realized what I was truly missing with the music and sound. The Smash Pack was such a good thing to have, but why did they have to drop the ball on the audio?

that was just the state of Genesis emulation - especially in the early 2000's. It genuinely didn't bother me enough (at least not in Sonic) to even be an afterthought.

Yes, but even the early Genesis emulators did better than this collection did. I got it not long after it came out, and I appreciated all the games that were there as I didn't have a Genesis at the time, and it was just worth it for Virtua Cop 2.

Virtua Cop 2 is such a great addition here, yes. I also love the inclusions of Shining Force and Phantasy Star II. The music is admittedly bad in both of those, but I don't even care. I just love that they appeared on DC.

Indeed, I have. The visuals are absolutely gorgeous. At times it's a little hectic and difficult to see what's 'background' and what's 'foreground', but it's only a minor quibble. It's genuinely one of my favourite shmups on the DC.

This won't work with A3.
Really? I thought it worked with all Capcom games.
Absolutely not. I believe it only works on 3S and perhaps one other Capcom game and that's it. While games like SF III DI and Jojo's don't even require it because they already run in their correct native resolution (of 380x220 or something of the like) by default. While all 2D Capcom productions based on SEGA NAOMI ports run at the correct resolution of 480i(low res) and 480p (hi res).

i've seen this list before. And its almost accurate as most (not all) of these games do run in their native 240p by default.

I've tried booting MVC1 via the control command 240p. No dice.
I actually tried this with A3 last night and just as I recalled, it didn't work. I can't comment on Zero 3 FMS because I don't own it. Tho I can double check standard release Zero 3 as I do have that.
