This is the stuff I got today! I'm excited for Stella Glow. I picked up from the mail (amazon) paid $46 with a black friday discount. At gamestop I picked up Ridge Racer 7 for about $7.00 too The rest of the stuff came from the fleamarket. $5.00 for those transformers toys. One is a mini combiner, the other is a tiny movie Megatron and the other one is Arcee from the 3d animated series from some time back. I could have gotten more, but another lady beat me to some. I only managed to get these. I also got two PS2 controllers with their analogs in good condition for $3.00 each. Had to dig through some boxes but the price was right on them! For $5.00 I got Turok Evolution and Banjo-Tooie stratgegy guides, Gunslinger girl anime, Test Drive 5 PS1 and a Guncon video cable. And finally the last place I hit up had a decent selection of PS2 games. These were the ones that I chose for $3.00 each: Destroy all Humans 2, Pacman world 2, Power Rangers Dino Thunder, Viewtiful Joe 2 Dragonball z budokai 2 and Spongebob Squarepants Movie. A nice easy haul for the day!

today we hit up a thrift shop and I found what I think is my dream TV...

Philips 30PW8402/37

This is a 32" (diagonal) widescreen CRT HDTV with HDMI.

I was able to pick it up* for $20. Now I just need to get a replacement remote. But this thing is insanely good looking. I plugged my Roku into the HDMI port and it looks incredible. Now to play some Dreamcast games on it! Guess I'll be keeping an eye out for light gun games. :)

*actually it was very hard to pick up. It weighs a ton. My poor wife hurt her fingers trying to help me.

Sweet find, welcome to the HD CRT club! I prefer the 4:3 HD CRT Sony WEGA for older consoles. However, any high def tube is a great find! I doubt that a lightgun will work since it is an HD tube. Frustrating that the Dreamcast Lightgun works on a VGA CRT, but not the HD CRT. The Wii can cover House Of The Dead though no autofire such as the Dreamcast guns.

On the plus, you can't beat the HD CRT for not only 720p/1080i HD signals; even regular 480i from older game consoles all display just beautiful with no scaling issues. Definitely maximize the best output of each console to the full potential and especially take advantage of the SVideo for your SNES, N64 and PS1 consoles. Since no VGA input you can also hookup SVideo to the Dreamcast.

In case yours acts up at a later date, I posted a Guide on repairing my Phillips.

oh man if light guns don't work I'm going to be very bummed. That was the main reason I wanted this - other than it being widescreen CRT w/ HDMI.

I don't own any legit light gun games so I just popped in a NES emulator and used my DC light gun to attempt Duck Hunt. It seems that when I pull the trigger the screen does flash white - though I wasn't hitting any ducks in my brief trial. Does this seem a good or bad sign? Screen flashed white, does that mean that it recognized the gun or not? I just figured all CRT's would work w/ a light gun. :\

The only consoles I'm planning to hook up to it are DC, Sat and SCD by the way. Already have DC going via SVideo.
