New Automated Score Ranking System

Post by racketboy »

OK -- hopefully this works well:
http://www.racketboy.com/game-database/ ... ga/scores/

The database has the ability to keep track of score for different ports of the game, but I'm not about to enter all the different variations of Galaga right this minute. So for now, lets just all assume we're playing the arcade version.

Next time, hopefully, I can get things in line better :)

Too many games have come out recently and I haven't taken the time to play Galaga. I'll have to give it a shot tonight and try out the scoreboard for you.

So I finally logged in some Galaga games. I wonder if you could set up the high score list to dedupe and only take the highest score per board member.

Something to look into, but any system in a real game doesn't have one score per user...

Yeah, but in an environment like this it might be less motivating trying to beat someone's 3rd best score.
