What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?

They kick you to the curb as quick as possible here, but individually I think at least some of the professors try to avoid public spectacle, seeing as we have huge classes. Plus, while I imagine tenured professors don't care as much, a false accusation made into a spectacle will go really bad here.

You're probably right. I looked up the rules on such things, and while there aren't any specifics on what happens while caught in the act, I don't imagine he would have let me finish the test, and more than likely would have said something while I left/emailed me by now.

Perhaps if you were looking about a lot he thought you might be distracting to the people near you? Who knows what it could be. Probably didn't suspect cheating though.

Probably not. I just have a lot of nerves going on with testing, starting counseling, not seeing my family much, etc, and it makes things blow out of proportion in my mind. I'm still worried I'll get my grade as a zero and have to go talk to him about it or something such as that, but methinks he's the type that would have reported it rather than deal with it himself.

EDIT: Got grade back, no problems. Bad grade, but I'll just have to lump it.

:) First appointment went well enough. I think I can handle this counselor, other than being a walking stereotype, there wasn't any issues.

 Dealing with admissions at my school is really annoying...

I had a very simple form they needed to fill out for my student loans (it pretty much just confirms I'm going to school there) and I'm expecting this to be a simple procedure since I've brought the same form to them before with no problems. This time, however, I know I'm off to a bad start when the lady at the counter looks at the form and asks "What's British Columbia? Is it a bank?".

To keep it short, after a lot of explaining and talking with someone else, they send me to the International Programs room, and they send me right back to the admissions office where she finally filled out the form. All this took about an hour for a form that could be filled out in less than five minutes ._.

:D Got a Retron 5 today! As much as I would rather stick with original hardware, I've been fed up with my NES and SuFami being broken without being able to fix them. Plus the ability to translate Japanese carts sounds really nice.

:( Quite a few of my SuFami carts don't work. Not sure if I just need to clean them better or what, but some of them were ones I really wanted to play.

Please tell me he said "M'kay" over and over.

Good on you for not giving up on counseling. I hope you also start exercising vigorously as looking good helps you feel good. Speaking of, perhaps a new wardrobe would also help. You are never fully dressed without a smile, but a few suits is a good start as well as they're like make-up for men.

Smile: On a f00king roll with procuring donations for several charities. Or as TSTR would say "Philanthropy game be Stronk". Little things poppin be making big things happen. For instance, there is a local creamery who will donating gallons of eggnog for a Breakfast with Santa fundraiser. A mutually beneficial affair that will raise money for both organizations/companies.

One of the companies I currently consult has BOOMED, and it is a landscaping maintenance company that does little business over the Fall and Winter seasons. Pitched an idea of "preventative care" and it killed. It is incremental business for the company, but it will help sae jobs of lower income earning employees who would usually be "on temporary leave". So these guys get some of that much needed X-Mas cash.

Slow start, but I'm working with a "Barber's University", not to learn to cut hair, but to encourage people to join and start a career in follicle arts. If ya think this lanky white guy in a suit won't go knocking on doors in section eight housing, think again.

You're going to school here in Washington, right? And it's not out east of the Cascades, right? Because that rancher country is the only area of Washington I can think of that wouldn't be aware of BC.

^Yep, I'm in the Seattle area of Washington. It's not like BC is that far so that question really took me off guard.

Ah, no, different stereotype, at least one I've held before. Bleach blonde lady in her 40s from SoCal with degrees from places I've never heard of that talks a little too fast while still extremely soft, all while drinking some type of tea I had never heard of. I haven't had anybody ask, "And how does that make you feel?" yet, so that's good. I did get the, "And how is your relationship with your mother?" question, where I had to force myself to not laugh.

Suits? Bah, suits are for places where it gets cold, or air conditioning can beat out the humidity. Where I live it's western shirts, nice jeans, good boots, and a nice western cut vest. Preferably solid colors for shirt and vest, and the vest should be either non-shiny leather, fine wool, or a clean tight fitting satin for dress purposes. Gaudy or shiny leather is only appropriate if you are a lawyer (prfsnl_gamer, hook that up), used car salesman, oilman, or have a legal right to live on a Native American Reservation.

Working out? Maybe. You can currently see my ribs, so bulking a bit might do good, but the way the bits of discussion have gone on my body, I might have been better off chubby.
