I just got my copy today and played it for about an hour. All I can say is wow. Everything is great from the intro to the characters to the gameplay. The Xbox controller is a horrid piece of ass. I should pick up a arcade stick but there so expensive, and honestly I would only use it for a couple of games so to me it's not worth it.

Really I don't see the big complaint about it's complexity. Of course I played SF2 and skipped over 3 entirely. Overall I'm happy with it and I'll probably put major time into this game.

I played it for a little big in Gamestop, and I gotta say: Glad I didn't spent what little cash I have on this.

Granted, I will get this game. Just not for $60. It's not as tactical as SFIII, and it's not as twitch-crazy as SFA3. It's just SSFIIT in 3D. So, I'll be just fine with SSFIITHD for now.

If they had just put in a few choice SFA/SFIII characters, I'd be sold. Guy, Rolento, Hugo, Karin, Elena, Makoto, Alex, Dudley and/or Ibuki would have won me over. As it stands, well... I'm glad they put Fei Long and Sakura in.

Unfortunately, I didn't have time to experiment with the Focus system because it was just a mass of people passing controllers to whoever was next in line. Maybe the Focus system will give it some depth, so I guess I shouldn't write it off yet.

Ok. I just sat in front of this game for 3 and a half solid hours haha. Im pretty damn impressed. The focus system does bring alot of depth, but I still dont have it mastered. The online mode is freakin sweet but my internet connection sucks in the afternoon. I think maybe its cause the kids are out of school, and they are taking up the bandwith, cause it works great during the day or 2 in the morning. My mind doesnt even feel right from the most annoying lag I have ever seen in a game. Just imagine ultra slow down. I gotta drop this fucking ISP.................

Other than that the graphics, sound and overall production values are amazing. Im not a fan of anime so the cut scenes are not very interesting to me, and I would have rather seen the in game engine used for each character intro/ending. I could stare at this game all day.

Ugh too much motion and bright colors. I think I need to take a break for a while............

Picked up the ps3 collectors edition this afternoon and have played it for about 2 hours straight. It's a fantastic game and I'll be playing it for months, but i still have it ranked third behind zero 3 and third strike. I don't know, I think I just prefer sprites and the ism/parry systems.

Zangeif can suck my ballz

Post by Kevman »

All h does in street fighter 4 is his spinning piledriver. It sees almost unavoidable. That flaming punch (forgot what its called) has so much range and can be used to dodge attacks. He just seems cheap and I can't get past him in arcade on the hardest difficulty.

Anyone else run into this problem or do I just suck?

Zangief hasnt given me much trouble, but Crimson Viper pisses me off constantly. And Seth is a bastard in too many ways to list.

Crimson Viper is all kinds of fun to play as same with Zangief. I really didn't have any trouble with them on medium arcade do you mean online? Seth however is SOOOO hard/cheap even on medium. Not that I'm complaining it made beating the game just on medium satisfying. I'm sure there is some cheezy pattern a more dedicated player will mock me for not knowing, but I've had the game for 3 days!

I dunno the person i have the most problems with is Rufus he just i dunno bugs me. His fat is mesmerizing.

As for Zangief and his green hand don't forget to use your focus. As for his piledriver i think thats become a little too much of an issue for most people even me seems like no move has priority over it (even shoryukens and knee presses, hell even bufflo rushes.)

Why cant I unlock Gouken?

Post by miked »

From what Ive read on the net it says I need to unlock all characters except Seth, then get at least 2 perfects and 3 ultra finishes. Last time I got 4 perfects and 5 ultra finishes and he still didn't show up. Akuma unlocked just fine, so what am I doing wrong here?

EDIT: Never mind I just tried it again and it worked. Who knows
