:D Yesterday was me and my boyfriend's 4th year together! He got me some flowers and took me out to a nice Italian place which was nice, but the best thing about it was that he was able to get off work a lot earlier than usual :) We mostly spent that time just hanging out at home, but it was still really great that he could do that. Hopefully we'll have many more great years together in the future :D

:D Its raining!

:( Flooding/Near flooding for some. Not too bad here, but back home its something like 6-8 inches, possibly 12 in real bad areas.

Edit: Also broke down and admitted to my parents I might need to see a counselor/therapist/psychologist/whatever. They don't seem to believe I really have a problem, but I'm pretty sure my mom is lying through her teeth about it. Her previously having depression has always had her fear it could pass to my sister or me, and she admitted to my dad a couple of times throughout my life that she thought I might have "some problems".

Chin up, and enjoy your weekend to the fullest.

I'd say the majority of extroverts find introverts to be rude, as we as extroverts seek acceptance and friendship. It's unfair, but it's usually a truth. I am a social butterfly, or maybe a social moth, but either way it is obvious to me when to give people the space they deserve. Case in point, as boisterous as I am I often have this conversation:

Me - Hey Man, hope you had a great weekend.

Co-worker - *shrug*

Me - Okay. Hope you have a great week and let me know if you need help with anything.

Co-worker - *shrug*

...and that's it. Many extroverts sees this as "Would you fuck off and let me do my job?". I see it as "I'm here to work, that's it", and I'm fine with that. And most of the introverts I've worked with are totally different outside of work. So for me it has always been best not to judge.

My only advice is that if you come to some sort of standoff, find a common ground and expand on it. Everyone has something in common with someone else, and if you can make a teeny tiny match with a similar experience, you are gold pony boy.

You are an intelligent duder who is more than capable of controlling your emotions, and not letting your emotions control you (did Dr. Phil say that?).

I know...blah blah blah...random words from a random guy on the Internet. But! I will leave you with one word. "Strategy". "Focus" is great, strategy is a career path. You've got "the smarts" to excel at whatever you want to as long as every night you think about your next step in your career strategy. Reflect. Perform your own weekly SWOT analysis on your current status if you have the time.

And have fun. Dude. Have as much fun as you can handle.

I have no idea what any of that was about, so I'll just say "Ok random internet person".

Amiga 500. Don't have it yet, just ordered it. Very excited.

And yeah, stove pellets. My favorite type of heat source ever.
