I was considering skipping Yoshi since I had mixed feelings about Kirby's Epic Yarn. But I caved in and actually, Yoshi is making a really good first impression. I don't think 100% every level is a cakewalk. So if you're OK with that style of play (slowly examining every level to completely clear it), it's pretty neat. Cool music.

I haven't turned on Mario Maker in a week or two. Not that I'm already bored with the game, I just haven't had much time for video games recently. So I turned it on last night and was surprised by the HUGE number of stars I got since I last played.

I started Yoshi's Woolly World last night, I've only played the first 3 levels. It's exactly how much fun I expected it to be! Aside from the visuals, and knowing that it would be a 2D sidescroller, I knew virtually nothing about the game. I guess I shouldn't have been surprised at all, but it was a nice surprise to find out it's basically the Yoshi's Island format, but with LittleBigPlanet / Kirby's Epic Yarn visuals, and sort of Epic Yarn game play.

Be thankful you are getting a physical copy at all. (My jealousy knows no bounds.)

Sorry :(

But hey, this is pay back for the number of years we didn't get all those amazing games the rest of the world did. Not to mention years of having to get games months later and having horrendous PAL conversions :P

I think the cutest game that I might have played this year is Yoshi's Wooly World. Dear lord is that little yarn lizard adorable.

Blu, Dinosaurs aren't lizards. They are (mostly) reptiles, though. And I want to play Woolly World so bad!

Yoshi seems like a Theropod, which are more closely related to birds than to reptiles.
