What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
I'm doing a phone screen and I'm asking a coding question that has a fairly simple standard solution, but the candidate has ended up getting too fancy in his answer. It feels like we're reenacting this:

Cuz if they are, I'll set up a deal to buy those and the broken lawnmowers and start a landscaping company that quickly goes under, then turn the building into a car shop which gets its licenses taken away for doing shady inspections, and then I'll sell it to someone who will make it a music venue.

Do optometrists not have ethical boundaries about treating family members?BoneSnapDeez wrote:Got new glasses but I'm not crazy about them. Can't tell my wife because she's my optometrist and she picked out the frames.

I imagine if he had a serious condition she'd be obligated to send him elsewhere, but for regular prescription glasses? It might be an ethical quandary, but I dunno...MrPopo wrote:Do optometrists not have ethical boundaries about treating family members?BoneSnapDeez wrote:Got new glasses but I'm not crazy about them. Every OD I know sees their spouse, family, etc. It's not particularly odd; I suppose seeing your spouse for something like a proctology exam could get awkward.

Anyone had a proctologist examine your insides? Trust me, you would wish it was someone you knew. You get a doctor and a nurse and they just bend you over and ZWOOP! Even worse is the conversations they have. "So what did you do this weekend? Have you seen this movie? Did you watch the weekly airing of your favorite TV Show? I ate this delicious meal and it was delicious." Then you hear them say to you, "Now, relax, you are going to feel like you need to have a bowel movement. Don't worry, it is nothing. Just relax."
It is... strange.
It is... strange.
