God that sucks...

I adored Randy Savage as a kid.

Rest easy Macho Man.

I certainly hope that Vince would let the past be the past and do a proper Randy Savage tribute on Raw (or Smackdown). He should also be put in the Hall of Fame next year.

Vince had a major issue with Randy and holds a serious grudge. Apparently he had something going on with Stephanie before she was 18, but it has never been let out what exactly happened. Anyway, that's a personal issue and not a business issue. As a wrestler and entertainer, he was arguably the BEST the WWF/E has ever had. He really was up there with Hogan, Austin, The Rock, etc. He has one of the few commonly accepted 5-star matches in the WWF (screw Meltzer). As a professional, the man DESERVES to have proper tribute paid.
Ah interesting, didn't know that. Doesn't make a damn bit of difference to me though. Macho Man's a legend. Hell, hardly anyone today can match his charisma or unique and distinctive personality. I'd even rate him higher than Austin and Hogan personally and Cena's not even worth mentioning as he'll never be on any of those guys' level.

I feel like buying some old DVDs and watching some of his best moments

Damn, he was a legend for sure and an iconic wrestler we'll never forget. I also commend him for stepping out when the time came, unlike Hogan, Flair, and others who look like they're crippled thesedays when they step into the ring. Macho Man left the business on a good note on that regard.

yep. his last match was with Spider-Man in 2002....wait...he also made a short comeback on TNA during 2004.

i do wish he was inducted to the HOF before he left us. that would have been an awesome speech. :(

Yeah, seriously. Sounded like they were trying to get him into the HOF for years. Sad it never worked out. :(

Macho vs The Dragon, the stuff of legends.

If he isnt i the hall of fame next induction then they need to just disband the whole thing.

No, it doesn't make a difference. Stephanie was a hottie back when she was young. The Macho Man was... well, a man. Can't blame him for wanting the things that a macho man would want! It was just the wrong girl to go for, considering who her daddy is.

If I were to rate him as a wrestler, he is EASILY better than Hogan or Cena. Austin was near his level before he got hurt in the mid-90s (before he was "Stone Cold"). Flair, HBK, Steamboat, Benoit, Eddie, Dynamite* and Bret Hart were a few of the top tier guys that could match Macho's in-ring abilities.

*probably exceeded everyone on the list in pure ability

This is sad news indeed. Macho Man was a great wrestler with a great career. And it seemed like things between him and WWE were finally starting to smooth out. I was hoping for one more match, but sadly we'll never see it. R.I.P. Macho Man and put on a good show for the good Lord above.

I think I'll go get a couple of slim jims and play WWF Royal Rumble on the Genesis tonight. :(
