THIS!! All the way!

You know, I never cared for Cole.. In fact - watching Raw, Smackdown, and Heat in high school during the attitude era, I still remember the feeling of seeing a slim, mustached Cole come on screen to jabber about some up and coming event/superstar, and get up for a bathroom break or grab some food.

Now, Cole comes in - 'Can I HAVE your attention, PLEASE!!' - and I can't stop watching or laughing.. He is now, what McMahon was in his heyday: The Ultimate Heel!

What they need to do is just come out and admit that Cole is the 'anonymous' General Raw Manager, and have him backstage feuding with all of the roster on a weekly basis; instead of just with Lawler. Plus - this would be the only logical way to get good ol' JR back on the Monday night mic with King again where he belongs..

Interesting night.. It's no secret on this thread that I'm a big JR fan, so I'll simply say I'm glad to see him on the mic week after week.. Looks like Vince may have hung up his inner prejudice against JR's health conditions.. Hopefully they stop with these ridiculous announcer shifts between commercials and matches (it's getting old, guys!) and stick with Lawler, Ross, and Matthews!

The big story - Edge retires.

I don't think this is a work; this is it, ladies and gentleman! Edge has been vocal over the last few years about hanging it up due to injuries and a desire to enjoy his life after wrestling. He picked a good time to hang it up - hot off the heels of a Wrestlemania win, and retaining his belt, no less. Any doubt I had over his speech was squashed when he walked back into the mezzanine and was greeted to ovations not just by a whole slew of superstars, but a smiling, applauding Vickie G and Dolph. This Friday he releases his title on Smackdown - it will be interesting to see what goes down!

Anybody else not so impressed by Sin Cara's wrestling debut tonight? I felt Primo carried him a bit. Not worried; Sin Cara's got so much talent it won't be long before things heat up!

Finally - Thank God R Truth was pushed instead of buried in tonight's Battle Royale. Do I think him a top contender for the title - no! (Do I like his 'What's up?' gimmick - Hells no!) But he's a damn fun superstar to watch when they let him, and his back and forth with Morrison was a good example. Cena came out and I had my doubts - but the crowd was worked up incredibly, which is always great to hear! I would have rioted if they gave it to Cena, but they played the logical move and didn't go with the rematch, and interestingly enough, made it a triple threat match for Extreme Rules. How awesome is that?

Not sold on it? Let me put it this way:
The WWE title has lost it's merit, people. It's changed hands more times over the last few years than a crusty dollar bill. Then Miz came and won it off of Orton. This was back in the fall of last year! Miz has held the belt longer than any Superstar in recent memory and that's a great thing! It gives the belt some integrity! Miz's character has often come into question as to whether he is a legit champ or not.. Again, he's held it the longest than anyone in awhile. Plus, in three weeks he goes up against not just fan-favorite Cena, mega face of the company, kiddies, and cereal boxes everywhere, but also a hot R Truth who is starting to build some impressive momentum. If Miz retains his title at Extreme Rules, it doesn't just prove Miz's legitimacy as champion, it goes to show he is probably the most successful WWE Champ since the Attitude era of the WWF!

Don't be surprised if he remains champ well into the summer and even shortly beyond, until the Rock comes around again for the Road to Wrestlemania! Not because he's Awesome, but because he's restoring faith in both the belt and in the company.

I think what I love about the Miz is what I love about any truly good heel. He drops the truth, and the truth hurts! He pretty much told us how Morrison would lose and that's exactly what happened!

I thought Sin Caro was fun to watch. I don't know who botched the ending spot, but it looked like Primo. I was actually thinking of how irrelevant Evan Bourne and Justin Gabriel are gonna seem with Sin Caro around, and maybe Mysterio too.

I LOVED APPLE!!!! Please keep that stable! It's not like these guys have anything better to do

Loved the Orton beat down. I love how every evil thing Orton's character does comes back to haunt him. He's got horrible karma

Not Raw related, but Cody Rhodes reminds me of Old School Kane

The DX DVD commercial is awesome!

Thank god boring Eve is no longer women's champ

Enjoy retirement Edge! You deserve it!

I can understand the staleness of Kane, though.. I'd love to see him dissappear for a bit and come back masked again - only this time, keep the bald head and throw on a hockey mask or something, (ala Splatterhouse/Friday the 13th.) Give him a nice heel-run, demolishing jobbers and lesser superstars, build up to one last 'Taker match, and I think that'd be awesome!

see above - this is why! Cody's gimmick right now is awesome!

Enjoy retirement Edge! You deserve it!
I second this!

Oh c'mon on now, Santino is really lame sometimes but APPLE was priceless. That was damn funny. Probably the funniest thing he has done in a long time and funnier than just about anything John Cena has done in months. Besides, it's this or more of Evan Bourne getting squashed all the time, Daniel Bryant sliding more into irrelevancy since losing his title and Mark Henry basically doing nothing. Santino is over with the crowds and is actually somewhat credible as a competitor now. Might as well take advantage of it

I am a big Kane fan and I like your ideas there. Personally, I think Kane would be an appropriate choice to end the streak, but they already blew what would have been the perfect feud for it last year when they brought back Paul Bearer. Ending the streak would make Kane a legitimate, main event star and they could really run with that and do some amazing things with him. He is very much underutilized in my opinion. They always turn to Big Show when they want to do something important with one of the big men and poor Kane tends to get overlooked

Zack Ryder wrote the following about Edge on his Twitter: "Thank you Edge. You will be missed. Without you, there would be no Zack Ryder. I'll always be an Edgehead. Love you man."

Hulk Hogan: "if any of the guys like me,Flair,Hardy,Andre,AA,Blanchard, orndoff,Henning would have listened to doctors we would have quit15yrsago. but I don't know Edges working environment because they are a media company not a wrestling company...wrestlers work hurt! What about Foley! I bet EDGE still wants to keep wrestling,he's one of the boys big time!!! HH"

Damn, felt like it was yesterday when he made his WWF debut match at SummerSlam 98 when he teamed up with Sable and fought against Marc Mero & Jacqueline.

Sting was recently interviewed and was asked about WWE:
"I'm not going to lie to you -- who wouldn't want to say that they did 'Wrestlemania' at least one time?" Borden said Tuesday in a telephone interview. "It's the ultimate event in wrestling. It's still in the back of my mind that there's a chance of it happening someday, somehow. I think time may have run out completely now, but who knows?

"The timing couldn't have been better (to work 'Wrestlemania'), but I'm glad it turned out the way it did."

Borden has publicly said mistrust about how his character would be portrayed by WWE owner Vince McMahon played into his decision. Borden also cited "personal reasons that I don't want to talk about" during our Tuesday interview.

Borden's decision, though, was as much about his affinity for TNA as it was trepidation about joining WWE.
