I gave her pokemon y after I found it at a pawn cheap but I don't know if she played it. though I would like to recoup some of my money to keep the 3ds cheap, because she also wants something to play minecraft so I'm going to try and get her a 360 at black Friday.jmbarnes101 wrote:@girlracer - Both of my girls were playing Pokemon at 7. Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
Neighborhood Garage Sales were being held in our area today - so I made the rounds after my gym class.
Free:
- Wii - Cabela's Dangerous Hunts,
- 360 - Scene It
$4 total for all of the following:
- Pink Translucent Game Boy Color
- Pokemon Silver
- Pokemon Trading Card Game
- Super Mario Land 2
- The Rugrats Movie
- Looney Toons Twouble
- Playstation Memory Card
I've never really given the Pokemon games a chance other than Pokemon Pinball.
But lately I've been interested in the games after reading all the love they still get in forums like this. I'm not one to drop $30 on a single game very often. Very happy to get them on the cheap - I'm really looking forward to playing them, finally.

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
I don't find much anymore that can give me the same thrill hunting once did but I did find something today that I never thought I'd see "out in the wild." Complete copy of King Kong for the 2600 for $20. The lady holding the sale would not budge on this one. She had come other boxed Colecovision & 2600 games at $15-20 each. I only picked up a few after getting her down to $10 on some of the others. I would normally never pay more than a buck or two for any 2600 game but this is certainly worth the exception to me. I considered buying this a couple of years back on the interwebs but I suppose this shows that it pays to be patient.
Also found a console only Saturn for $15 and Mario Kart 64 for $5 among other things.

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
Very nice. I don't get that feeling much anymore either but finding a NIB Donkey Kong for the 2600 last weekend was a great feeling. Of course the $3 I spent for it helped as well.J_Wil wrote:I don't find much anymore that can give me the same thrill hunting once did but I did find something today that I never thought I'd see "out in the wild." Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
It is a terrible game, but it is one of the few pieces of original Zelda merchandise I am missing. Japan however got an awesome boardgame that fans translated recently:jmbarnes101 wrote:@fastbilly - That's really cool looking, you'll have to let us know how the game play is. I remember having a Donkey Kong board game as a kid. Do you know if there are any other board games for NES classic characters out there?

Sadly the original sells $300+ on ebay when it pops up.
As for other Classic Nintendo Character games I know of Mario, Donkey Kong, and Donkey Kong Country. There are plenty of old arcade game conversions though; Turbo, Zaxxon, Qbert, Centipede, Defender, Frogger, and ofcourse the scary Pacman:

The search is difficult since Nintendo themselves released boardgames in Japan, most notably alot of Disney games:

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
Nice finds, team! The boxed King Kong (2600) is particularly impressive, but girlracer also got some pretty solid 3DS, SNES, and WIIU deals.
.....
I had a good weekend with regard to finds. Among other things, I got a copy of Crazy Machines (Wii) for $7 from Gamestop. The game is actually pretty hard to find online, and only one Gamestop within driving distance had a copy. It required a bit of a drive, but I was thrilled when I found the game was in complete condition. Moreover, I had a couple of pawn shop finds this morning. I got a complete copy of Dragon Age Inquisition (PS3) for $7 and a complete copy of Dragon Ball XenoVerse (PS3) for $3(!). My PS3 want list is shrinking rapidly, and I would not be surprised if I finished collecting for seventh generation consoles in early 2016.

I think I had that Zaxxon game as well, I only vaguely remember it though.

Nice find on the Dragon Ball Xenoverse. Got that last month on the 360. Pretty great game, honestly.prfsnl_gmr wrote:Nice finds, team! The boxed King Kong (2600) is particularly impressive, but girlracer also got some pretty solid 3DS, SNES, and WIIU deals.

This user really likes SEGA Saturn. Avoid at all costs.
