What are your comfort games? The games you have returned to and beaten time and again, they always feel fresh and fun. The ones you know will always be good to you. Mine are:
Megaman X1-6
Castlevania Sotn
Legend of Zelda Links Awakening
Donkey Kong Country 2
These games I've conquered countless times but when I can't make up my mind on what to play, or I have a small amount of time to indulge. Then these are the ones I will play.

The only one that instantly springs to mind for me is NiGHTS into Dreams.
When I was younger, I was obsessed with the game due to the awesome art style and interesting world/story. Now I'm obsessed because I can appreciate the INTENSE ARCADE-STYLE ACTION. I find it every bit as fun as the best score-based classic arcade games and love the art style, music, etc.

Columns (definitely a comfort game for me, but I dunno if you can actually "beat" it)
Panzer Dragoon Zwei
Kirby Super Star (lost count on how many times I beat it)
Donkey Kong Country 1-3
Aladdin (SNES)
Soul Blazer
TMNT Turtles in Time
Super Mario Bros. 3
Super Mario World
I don't finish games too often though.

Agreed, but if we're getting into comfort games, so does the original Gameboy (including Color.) There are a lot of comfort games on there that are so easy yet fun they're not boring in their easiness. It would hard not to find some comfort in the short and super easy original Kirby's Dream Land. If you just need a cheap and easy escape for a little while with zero stress, it's a good one.
Sim City is another, PC, SNES, whatever. Just disable the annoying disasters and build to your lazy hearts content. You'll find hours blown and not even realize it.

I actually just recently sat down with the snes game. I put in the money cheat and just built a metropolis. Cms games are usually pretty fun and laid back.

As of recently probably
Prince of Persia(PS2 Trilogy played SoT and WW about a dozen times each)
Halo Combat Evolved(Xbox/PC) I had like 3k+ hours on the PC version.
Alan Wake(360/PC)
Fallout 3(PC)
Skyrim(PC)
Shadow of the Colossus(PS2/PS3)
Pokemon Snap(N64)
Zelda Link's Awakening DX(GBC) Probably my most played GB game after Pokemon.
Pokemon Red, Yellow, Gold, and Ruby(GB-GBA) When I was younger I played through these pretty frequently.
