I like that voting idea. How should voting for the same game twice be handled? Perhaps you have to change your game every other vote or something? Here's mine (conincidentally a mirror of dunpeal's last vote):

Now are we going to do arcade emulation or console ports with these? In the case of Grind Stormer the difference is huge, but with Batsugun for example the Saturn port is solid. Arcade will always be better obviously but I don't mind just playing the console versions of the games that got ports myself.

This is a cool idea, and I can see myself jumping in from time to time. A few suggestions:

-I think we should plan the whole year in advance now, so that people who want to hunt down/buy games they don't have in advance can do so.

-I think we should just do DoDonPachi with the TR folks December, instead of doing something different (otherwise you may siphon from the pool of players there)

-I think we should consider taking a month or so off when shmups.org has their annual STG competition, since a lot of folks on this site/in this thread get involved in that.

Just a few thoughts...do with them as you will. I am down with anything Toaplan for January.
