I've gotten PM's (and pp money) from 3 people thus far. There were others that sounded like they wanted a copy, please let me know today - i'll be placing an order tonight and will only be buying copies for those who can confirm 100% they are buying one.

We can get up to 8 copies and it is preferred to get all 8 to save on the shipping from Japan. All of the copies are new/sealed.

Why the urgency? The game isn't on tap until April, and waiting a month might yield you a larger set of buyers since many are low on funds after the holiday and/or away from the forum for a bit...does rancor think he'll sell out right away?

He's only got 8 after scouring the others shops and if it's out of print...that number would only go down, no? Also, it isn't fair to hold some guys money for extended periods. On top of that, it has to ship here from Japan, then from here across the states, so that could easily be a 3+ week process. That puts us at late Jan / Early Feb. if the order is placed tonight.

Orders placed from Japan to the US typically arrive in 7 business days assuming the seller ships promptly with a good service and it doesn't get held up by customs. Which is very rare for Japan-to-US. I've never waited more than 15-20 business days for a single item ordered from Japan, and I've ordered well over 100 things.

SAL shipping has always taken me about 3 weeks. I'd rather err on the side of caution and leave plenty of time for the game to arrive.

15-20 business days, then another 3 business days from the day I ship it is 18-23 business days.

7 days would be EMS shipping, not SAL. So like I just said, 3+ weeks. I've also ordered well over 100 items, as has much of this forum.

In reality, none of that matters either. We asked the guy for a break on a bulk order, he took time out of his day to procure some extra copies and cut us a shipping break...and then we're going to expect him to hold the copies for up a few weeks or a month? No.

3+ weeks for SAL is not normal. I can't say I've had many SAL shipments arrive in over 10 business days, maybe like 15 max.

If you want super speedy shipping, then pay extra. FedEx shipments often arrive literally in 2-3 days. If you're too impatient to wait for more members to come forward and submit funds, everyone is gonna have to pay extra. These games aren't gonna fly out of his hands, if that was the case he wouldn't be so eager to run out and get them to sell to you.

I don't think I've ever gotten a SAL shipment in fewer than 11 days. Airmail or registered Air usually arrives within ten days, though. EMS 2-3.

I'd like to join a pool purchase for CC, but I really can't commit the funds right now, and I'm not positive I'll be able to in the next couple months either. Others might be in similar situations, given the time of year. Eight copies could be a bit difficult to lock in buyers for.

That's what I was driving at. If rancor went out and secured eight (or however many) copies for eight not yet existing buyers, I don't think anyone should feel responsibility to immediately buy a game *tonight* that appears on the schedule in ~90 days. It can easily wait a month or two. If the games sell they sell, whenever it is, I'm sure he'll be fine with it.

One final statement about the shipping time thing, buying from random eBay sellers with no regard for courteous shipping and send the game out a week after your purchase doesn't count as "good" shipping experience. I have a regular trading partner in Japan that sends my stuff SAL and it never fails to get here in 10-15 business days.
