Seriously! I'm a little miffed that CC won out and XeXex didn't, but Shienryuu is a great game (even if it was my least preferred pick) so still a net gain for the SotMC, I suppose.

I'm excited about being able to break out Shiki 2 more quickly than I had expected. I also have a lot of time to look for a copy of Raiden IV. Not sure that one will happen for me, though, since I have to import it.

I'm sure you know it's quite cheap for US-360.

If only the shmups would be ported to Wii U or PS3. The only games I have on my 360 are shmups and Child of Eden.. It'd be pointless if the shmups weren't so damn good.

So bad news on Crimson - and being serious, not taking a shot at Dave's pick with this post. Here is the PM reply from Jeff (rancor):

Hey Mike!

I only have 4 copies at the moment, and my distributor says it's gone out of print in preparation for the arcade release coming soon. I'm sure that it's going to be unavailable for a year or so, and then anther version will pop back up featuring the old version along with the arcade version on one disc. This is almost exactly what happened with Trouble Witches when it got an arcade release.
I'll have to check around some of the doujin shops around here to see if I can find anymore copies. I'll msg you when I find out more info.

I think we should at least see how many copies we can get in people's hands who want to play. A number of people who picked the game already have copies, there's a seller with ten copies on eBay ($50 but free shipping), rancor has 4 copies or so for $35-$40 each, etc. I'm willing to bet there will be enough to go around for the folks who were planning to buy one anyway.

EDIT: I just realized it is rancor's eBay shop that has 10. Why is he telling you he has 4?

You don't have GCN or PS2, Exed? COS2 is a cheap US release for the latter and a not too pricey import for the former. You could also burn a DC ISO...

Just got a GC this year but that's also a Japan only release. Baldur's Gate is gonna be that month anyway, and if your podcast is any indication, that's gonna take a *lot* of my available time

I saw the ISO, but I zapped a DC around this time last year due to the fact that I was using one extensively on my old unit, in addition to playing Shenmue II which is a real drive wearer from what I heard as it was accessing and spinning. I don't want to lose this one either. It really isn't worth it for me. I knew going in this year there were gonna be some I'd miss out on.

Weelllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll then....... what shall we do if we're not one of the few here that has it. $50 is a bit steep -- might have to add this one to the "miss" column as well, I'm honestly not as big on imports as the rest of you, I've only got 2 DC games from other territories and that's it. Perhaps I need to turn in my shmup card

That is a bummer about Rancor possibly not having too many copies of Crimson Clover. How many people participating already have a copy? I know Erik and Dave do, but not sure who else. I'd be willing to bite the bullet and buy one off ebay for $50 so that someone else can get in on the cheaper order.
