Thanks doods. As for V-V, I have never even heard of it!

Keyboard, i wish. I can barely play Super Mario Bros on an NES emulator with a keyboard! I use a Saturn USB pad for MAME shooters and a Saturn PSX pad for PS1/PS2 shooters.

@hash, even more impressive is when you post insanely high scores and the screenshot is on PSP. I have no idea how you're so good with such a detrimental d-pad for shmups!

@Exed, be aware that it was mentioned in the V-V discussion thread on Shmups that the Genesis version is not acceptable for scores as the difficulty is different than the arcade game.

Wait.

Hash - so...most of your time was spent playing at work...AND you used a handheld controller?

Where do you work that this goes unnoticed!!

More importantly...are they hiring? 8)

Be glad you got him. It's unfortunate that we can't have a RB superteam with all of us representing this place there.

EDIT: As I finished typing this looks like the T.I.H team is gonna take it away again with one of its members getting 11 million (?!)

I also understand that it's just V-V and not Grindstormer the arcade game either. Apparently the Grindstormer ROM does away with the Gradius-style powerup bar and just awards certain types of powerups from enemies, like the Life Force arcade cab did.

I have my own office (law firm) so when I hear the boss coming from a mile away I close MAME and hide the controller on top of the desktop tower under the desk. They rarely, if ever, come by anyway. I only play when all the work for the day is done and there is nothing left for me to do, but I can't leave yet. There were times when I was doing really well and had to shut it down. I don't think they would care as long as everything is done, but it's still not good to be caught. When I quit I'll recommend you. You would have to move out to California!

By the way, can anyone link me to a V-V ROM? I can only find Grind Stormer.

Since there is no sound with the ROM I have, I am using Guile stage music. It fits quite well!
