I'm not hating, I'm just being honest...
Like I say, I've no issue with people liking the N64, it's just the fanboys ruined it for me. After all, I LOVE my Dreamcast, but I'm in no illusion that it's the greatest console ever. It was 4th place in last generation for a reason. It lacked the third party support, the processing power and the DVD drive of it's competitor and it became a niché console with only a few good games outside of it's best genres, Arcade games and Fighting games, which it's still the best at even today in my opinion. The PS2 stomped it flat, and hell I love the PS2 too. If an N64 fan would just say, "I have great memories of the console, the games mean a lot to me, and while it was flawed, was effectively the experimental dumping ground for early 3D experiments to die in, and didn't really have any truly amazing games, I still love it because it's a piece of my childhood", I'd have the upmost respect for them, instead they say "herpa derp, Nintendo 64 is the greatest console ever, Super Mario 64 had perfect controls and perfect camera. Ocarina Of Time is the greatest game ever made, with the best story and gameplay ever made, and GoldenEye is the best FPS game, with amazing multiplayer than even makes Call Of Duty look bad today"... this is just plain false.
Still, it's always nice to be the antagonist on the forum, it keeps everyone on the forum from getting boring and gets the conversation heated. I don't want to piss people off, but just as I'll grumble if people bad-mouth the Sega Saturn/Dreamcast (which they will, alot), I expect to cause a grumble or two in turn. Just remember, it's our taste in video games, it's nothing important, it's like arguing over our favourite colour... if we enjoy something and others don't, oh well, but let's have a bit of a chat about it and call eachother horrible names and wish death upon eachother for liking the wrong fluffy mascot.
Th 64 did have one worthwhile RPG, it was Ogre Battle 64. Very good game.
I also dont consider the Zelda series as RPGs but they have OoT and Majoras Masks are great adventure titles. I think you are in the vast minority of those who dont like them.

And therein lies the problem. The one RPG the N64 has, and it was never released in Europe. You know what, I'm fed up of Europe always getting stiffed on the good games. We've still never had Chrono Cross or Xenogears over here. Not even as PSP or PSN re-releases.
I think I just find the N64 Zelda games too juvenile. Twilight Princess is much better largely because it's more adult friendly, it doesn't feel like I'm playing with a kiddies toy, which is silly because I'm perfectly prepared to play Kirby's Epic Yarn without it bothering me. I think it's because the N64 games don't realise they come across as childish, where as Kirby is fully intended to be a kids game.
@Tornado creator
Ocarina of time has the oldest version of link and it is the darkest and least childish IMO. Seriously though, those Zombies used to scare the pants off of me.

Err... Majora's Mask was way darker. It had the most emotion. I think Tornado Creator is just someone who doesn't like it. No point in fighting his opinion.
Systems: Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, N64, Gamecube, Xbox 360
WTB: Boxes for a silver Gamecube System(and a hyperport cover), and a box for an Ice Blue N64 console. Will pay 7.50 for each and shipping.
If you like something I dislike, you either don't really like it and only care for it for nostalgia reasons or you're a stupid, childish, idiot person.
(Wait a minute, I don't think I've ever heard of ANYBODY ever claiming the n64 was the greatest console ever.)

I said earlier in this thread that it's my favorite system. But man, TornadoCreator really took a steaming dump on my late childhood/early teenhood there with his huge post about what's wrong with N64.
And I wasn't even saying that it's wrong to prefer other stuff over N64 earlier, I was just surprised at how many people listed it as their leastfavorite.

Favorite is definitely the SNES. Leastfavorite being the Nintendo 64. Yes, the system has some great games, it's just that I can't stand the feel of the controller.

Awww, I feel bad now.
Look, don't let my opinion ruin something for you. Hell people have told me multiple times that the Master System was a badly designed peice of crap with far inferior games to the NES (honestly who puts the pause button on the console instead of the controller and then makes the pause cause the console to crash about 1 in 5 times you use it). I still love it though...
All I'm saying is don't think of me as the horrible troll hear to ruin your favourite games but as a ball of concentrated frustration that has a tendancy to rant at anyone and anything daft enough to stay still near me for long enough.
What I don't get is why people adore the Dreamcast so much. I like the console and it does have a few games that are near and dear to me, but it is, by far, my leastfavorite Sega console (Game Gear and the like don't count, since it is not a console). It's also the least Sega-ish Sega console, if that makes sense.
