I had the "good fortune" to see that in theaters...
Yeah... you know I'm a big Craven fan. Thing w/ this movie is that there's some serious confusion over what kind of movie it was. It feels like there's an interesting modern day vampire story there, that gets completely derailed anytime Eddie Murphy was (seemingly?) allowed to improv. Like when he poses as the minister. That train goes completely off rails. It feels like a scene from an entirely unrelated movie is just cut in there. I'm really glad that Craven figured out he shouldn't try to make comedies though. So I'm glad he got it out of his system. And as bad as it can be, the really stupid risks and career zig-zags is a big part of why I'm such a big fan of Craven to begin with.

Whoa, I didn't know there was a video game where Benedict Cumberbatch played a vampire!

That game is scary in some sense. Have you played the rocket levels yet?
I keep forgetting about the Wii Haunted House! I do have the Atari version. Maybe I'll dig that out.

I am up to World 7 (a/k/a The Factory). I have all of the KONG letters through World 5 (a/k/a The Forest) and all of the puzzle pieces through World 4 (a/k/a The Caves). My son adores the game, and he is pushing me through it faster than I can backtrack to pick up missing pieces and letters. (He also does get a bit scared during some of the more intense sequences, and his sister often has to leave the room if the game gets too exciting. )
Also - and if you can find a copy - you should pick up the GBA port of Castlevania. (It is in the "NES Classics" series.) It has a save feature that makes the fifth level a bit more manageable.
^ Nice. The GBA port is actually the one I do have. I missed the boat on NES collecting when it was "cheap." Now that I've finished Popful Mail I'll fire up Castlevania on the first.

It makes the game easier, but this guy still might cause you to throw your GBA against the wall in frustration. (Although there are ways for managing him, her remains, IMO, one of the very hardest bosses in any NES game.)
A game I look forward to playing for the first time this month: Deadly Premonitions A game I look forward to replaying this month: The Elvira Pinball games on Pinball Arcade. Also, I need to get back into Costume Quest. A movie I look forward to watching for the first time this month: Audrey Rose A movie I can't wait to rewatch this month: Trick 'r Treat An obscure movie I want everyone else to watch: The Cave, because the underwater cave diving scenes and stunts are done with real people (not CGI) and they are incredible. The movie is decent, but it's the amazing location shots that make this film stand out. Watch the bonus feature documentary. My Halloween costume will be: Creepy old man mask, unless I can think of something better. And something else spooky I'm planning: We always put a lot of work into decorating our house full of creepy spooky Halloween stuff.
I do not typically do horror, but due to my recent pinball kick I am going back to a TV show I have not watched in a very long time. I will watch atleast 31 episodes of Twilight Zone in the next 33 days. First up is the only episode that I actually watched in full as a child, Where is Everybody. Which a slightly little known fact about is that the city for that was reused for Oak Valley in Back to the Future.
