Evercade VS

Post by sevin0seven »

This retro console definitely has my interest when it was announced. Didn't really care for the handheld version (to be honest). Will keep an eye out on future game releases before biting. So far I only like the Xeno Crisis and Tanglewood cart.

So this is basically a console that plays older games I probably already have just on carts that they put out?

Did they fix the button mapping issues on handheld?

I remember from reviews lots of SNES games had you using top & bottom bottons, then lots of NES games had A & B backwards. Genesis 3 button mapping goofy too. Was a deal breaker for me then, but *seem* to recall there was a firmware patch in the works?

So I saw the firmware patching on handheld *did* improve the button mapping significantly. Read Genesis is still not very intuitive bc they're using an odd 3 button combo in their 4 button diamond layout. Good to see it improve though.
