As far as the actual cabinets go, nothing beats Tapper and BurgerTime. Just look at the artwork, plus the controls on Tapper are taps and there is a metal foot rail on the thing. Doesn't hurt that both are great addicting games either!

Yes! The dedicated MK2 cab. That's the next cab I'm getting.

I'm scoped one out in good shape for $750 (a little pricey) about 150 miles from me. I'm really trying to get the cash together quick. MK2 was the pinnacle for Mortal Kombat.

Neo Geo.
The various Japanese candy cabs like Astro City.
Mortal Kombat 2.
Street Fighter 2: The World Warriors. I love it more than all the other SF2 versions, although Super Turbo's cabinet was damn sexy, too.

As for personal favorite, it will always be the three-player AVP cab that Capcom released. Three players, slaughtering hordes of aliens, all at the same time. Awesome. I love multiple-man beat em up cabs, like six-player X-men, four-player Simpsons, four-player Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, four-player Captain America and the Avengers...some of the most fun I've ever had in the arcade were on these kinds of machines.

Agree - all were my faves. Was Captain America ever released on xbl/psn? I'm sure I had it on MAME somewhere.
