Video Game "Look what I found"

Post by CaptainWeasel »

Okay, I have been thinking about doing this for a while, and a certain new topic just happened to come up, so here it is. This is the topic you will put your finds in. If you received a gaming-related item and were thinking about posting a topic, STOP AND POST IT HERE.

EDIT: Have something that's REALLY SPECIAL? A once in a lifetime kind of find? Make a gameroom thread and put everything in there.

So, with input from other racketboy members, we can make this an interesting thread. I love what other people find at flea markets, garage/yard sales, and pawn shops, but we have to consolidate these posts to reduce clutter.

Posting is simple... all you have to do is tell everyone what you got, where you got it, and how much you paid for the items. Pictures aren't necessary, but sure are a bonus.

I'll start off by recapping the past few finds I've had:

Steel Battalion bundle, complete with box, controller in pristine condition, manual, and game
Steel Battalion: Line of Contact
Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter

all for $80 off of craigslist.

batman Returns (GEN, complete) - $2 (VGPC: $1.49)

Beauty and the Beast: Roar of the Beast (GEN, complete) - $2 (VGPC: $2.00)
Power Glove - $8 (VGPC: $14.45)

all from Goodwill

Ex-Mutants (GEN, missing manual) - $3 (VGPC: $0.88)
Exile (GEN, complete) - $3 (VGPC: $6.49)
Jurassic Park (Sega CD, complete) - $3 (VGPC: $1.88)Cool

Wow, that's awesome. I want one of those Steel Battalion controllers.

I picked this up last Friday for a pretty decent price.

I missed it when it originally came out.

There were a few more cheap GC games in the shop but they were all pretty dire which made this find even better.

Well, I got a Dreamcast for free the other day. One of the guys in my dorm had it lying around at home and told me I could have it after we had a conversation about Jet Grind Radio. I had to buy the power cord for it, as well as some controllers and a VMU, but that only added up to about $30. Then I picked up Street Fighter Alpha 3 ($20), Jet Grind Radio ($7), Crazy Taxi ($7), and Bangai-O ($25!), all complete.

You, sir, fucking suck. Where did you go to find the SF controller that cheap? I've been looking for the Chun Li one for a little while. Already have Ken.

Last weekend at Gamestop (yeah, I know) I got both Viewtiful Joe & Viewtiful Joe 2 for $2.99 each.
The bad part is that the price stickers are on the DVD insert not the case itself.

Not a bad catch for the first games I purchased since Thanksgiving I am following a strict <$5 budget for games now, so this thread will be my best friend and give me hope.
