February was another nice month of pick-ups, mostly consisting of PlayStation RPGs and Action RPGs!

Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete (PS1) - I've been intrigued by this game for quite a bit of time now, and I came across a copy in fair condition so I went for it! I think this might be the next game I dive into after I finish the current game I'm working on.

Diablo (PS1) - Admittedly I've only watched my neighbor play the PC version of Diablo and I've never played through the game myself. My partner and I have been going through various co-op Action RPGs lately, so I figured this could be the next one we tackle together. I'm hoping the lack of analog sticks for this one won't be a deal breaker for her.

Beyond the Beyond (PS1) - I'm aware of the mixed feedback for this game; however, I'm a huge Camelot fan and I think this is an interesting entry in their catalogue, in that small time frame between their work with Sega and Nintendo. I also used to play this game with my buddy, and have some fond memories of that time. I'm looking forward to finally attempting to play this one all the way through.

Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II (PS2) - My partner and I played through the first Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance game on PS1 last year and had a blast with it. Ever since we finished it, I've been looking for a copy of the sequel. Can't wait to play through this game in a co-op campaign too.

Woah! Some very nice pickups!!

I know that Lunar for the PS1 has gotten rather expensive recently and that looks to be in really nice condition. If you like classic SNES 2D style RPG's, Lunar is pretty great. It has some teeth to it, so don't be afraid to grind a little here and there while you are on your adventure.

Beyond the Beyond is very interesting. It's kind of a precursor to the Golden Sun games on the GBA, so if you liked those games, then you will like it as well. Once again, it can be a bit frustrating, especially under-leveled, so grab some levels whenever you can.

I do like 16-bit RPGs, so I think Lunar will be in my wheelhouse. I don't mind grinding either, usually I find it fun to fire up a game knowing it'll just be a grinding session. In regards to the condition, the box is a bit dinged up and the cover art for the case holding the discs is sun faded, but neither of those issues is a huge deal to me.

For Beyond the Beyond, I'm a big fan of the first Golden Sun game and Camelot's games in general, so I think I'll enjoy it. Last year I played through Shining the Holy Ark, which also has some similarities style wise to the Golden Sun series. Really enjoyed STHA, and it was cool to experience a title that incorporated ideas later found in Golden Sun.

Nice pick ups, @Note! I hope you like them! Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance II isn’t quite as good as the original, but it’s still a good time. I’m looking forward to reading your thoughts on it.
