Awesome! That’s a great pick up.

Wait…What?! That’s an amazing pick up, AJ!

…..

I got a few imports in the mail the other day:

Wizardry Empire: Staff of Resurrection (GBC)
Shining Force III: Final Conflict (GG)
Last Window: The Secret of Cape West (NDS)
Legendary Stafy 4 (NDS)
Tingle’s Balloon Trip (NDS)
Arkanoid Returns (PS1)

The GB and GG games are cart only, but the rest are CIB. Also, all of the games are the Japanese versions, except Last Window, which is PAL.

Mega Bomberman is a Genny port of the PC Engine Bomberman '94. Great game.

Maybe not as amazing as you’re thinking - it’s an official rerelease cartridge from Strictly Limited, not the original

Note wrote:Nice pick-ups, Syndicate! Infernax and Final Vendetta are on my radar as well, interested in hearing your thoughts on them. Also, that's cool you picked up Golvellius -- that's another I'd like to try out, perhaps through emulation first.

...thanks man, I've been really wanting to finally get started on my SMS collection and my friend had a clean copy of Golvellius in his store so I had to jump on it.

prfsnl_gmr wrote:Infernax RULES. You both should play it ASAP.

...thanks for the heads up, I've been looking for something new to start on the Switch and I think I'll follow this recommendation this weekend.

October pick-ups! Mostly Sega Genesis finds this month, but also purchased a GameBoy cart, which I haven't done in ages. The first two games listed were found at a store in Connecticut I went to with my buddy I visited for a weekend. He just bought an original Xbox again, and was looking for games for it, while I was searching for 16-bit and 32-bit stuff.

Desert Strike (GEN) - I used to play this at a friend's house when I was young, so I wanted to grab this again. Glad that it's a common and cheap game. The game also kinda reminds me of Return Fire, which I had on the 3DO and PS1.

Tiny Toon Adventures: Buster's Hidden Treasures (GEN) - I actually had never played or came across this game back when it was released, but I fired it up on an emulator a few years ago, and the next thing I knew I had been playing it for about two hours. Lol. After enjoying my experience trying it out, I've wanted to play through the game.

Mega Bomberman (GEN) - I really enjoy the Bomberman games, but this is one I totally missed back when it was originally released. I've been playing this recently and having a good time with it. I reached the boss of Area 3 this evening, but I wasn't able to defeat him. I'll give it another go tomorrow!

Mega Turrican (GEN) - As a fan of run and guns, this title was up there on my Genesis list. I consider it a grail, so I'm really glad to have found it in great shape. The Turrican series is one that I've wanted to get into for quite a while, so I'm really looking forward to spending time with this game. I'd like to track down the SNES Turrican releases as well.

Kirby's Dream Land (GB) - After spending a day binging through Kirby's Adventure using the Switch service, I wanted to go back and play the original debut on the GameBoy. My cousins had this game when I was young, so when I'd visit them, I'd sometimes get a chance to play it, but it'll be nice to put aside time to playthrough and beat the first Kirby title. I haven't bought a GameBoy cart in years, so it's awesome to grab one again!

...some really good stuff there Note, I didn't know to make out of Mega Bomberman but I'll be keeping an eye out for it now. Mega Turrican and Desert Strike are classics. Buster's Hidden Treasure is supposed to be really good.

...nice pickups AJ, I'm really interested in Puzzle Bobble 3D. I saw it's announcement and etc but wasn't quite what to make of it. It's always cool to see a Neo Geo pickup, I don't have any Neo Geo hardware so I use the eShop to get my Neo fix

...I was hoping to find a bit more in October, but I guess that I did alright. I know Bayonetta 3 is solid and the Trinity Masquerade Edition is just really cool with everything that is included in it. I was really geeked to find a clean copy of Kung Fu Kid for the SMS though. I first played the game in middle school and even though it's pretty simple it really left an impression, it's my second SMS pickup so far. Fast RMX is a follow up to a Wii U classic that I think a lot of people missed b/c well, Wii U . It's fun and fast and definitely scratches that futuristic racing itch until Nintendo finally gives the gaming world a proper F-Zero sequel.

Shit, I'm glad you posted this. I'm a HUGE fan of the Fast Racing series, and I had no idea Super Rare had done a printing of RMX. Fortunately, they've still got some stock, so I was able to order one just now.

Nice pick-ups, Syndicate! I want to finally dive into the Bayonetta series. I played a demo of the first game on the 360 and enjoyed it, but haven't picked up the game yet. Fast RMX also looks fun and I totally agree that we need a new F-Zero game.
