I got Mad Stalker from Strictly Limited Games. I have a few other Genesis carts from them and they put out a quality product. Even though they're based in Europe, they cater to an American market as well. Although if you ever preorder something from them, you'll probably wait a long time, like with Limited Run. I know Strictly Limited also released a European Mega Drive version although IDK if it has any difference aside from the package design. I think Mad Stalker was first put out by Columbus Circle on MD in Japan, but I have a couple of their other games and they weren't beveled, so I'm hesitant to pick up any more CC games.
I haven't played much of the game yet, but it seems pretty cool! I like beat 'em ups and robots and it's got both those things along with some very cool music!

I think it's amazing that modern companies are licensing unreleased Genesis games to put out official releases on quality carts that can play on real hardware! It would be better if Sega would actually let them use the "Sega Genesis" trademark, but I feel like that kind of thing could be possible in the future.

Thank you for the information, Nemoide! Yeah, it was the Columbus Circle release that I had read about earlier. I recall reading a negative review of the cartridge release because of the bevel issue. I'm glad that another company has put it out, with a better quality cart. Might have to check that out sometime, along with a few of the other Strictly Limited releases I've been eyeing for a while.

I had played Sunset Riders through an emulator years ago and really enjoyed it. Also, my buddy has a MAME arcade setup in his basement, and we played it on there last summer. But it's great to be able to now play it on my SNES and CRT setup!

Totally agree. It's too bad the Genesis port was subpar, but I recently found out there's a fan remake of the Genesis port in the works. I saw some gameplay footage of the first level, and the color palette look much better. Something I'll be keeping tabs on.

So my "game collecting" days are drawing to a close. Mainly due to financial/space/interest reasons. The usual stuff, I suppose. Still playing retro games. Not purging my collection or anything, just slowing down.

Anyway, the Fami games I've acquired this year.

Oh man! The Quest of Ki!
The Game Center CX episodes for that game are some of my favorite.

How are your sourcing you Famicom games? Just ebay?
