Games Acquired 2022
Re: Games Acquired 2022
...between Too Many Games and some orders finally coming in, June was relatively solid. I wish that I found a bit more at TMG but Last Bronx, Baku Baku, and The Immortal are titles I've been looking to add to my collection for a while now. Finding copies of Gauntlet IV and Captain Tomaday at the convention were a nice plus. I knew Shadows of the Damned was solid and was convinced by a friend to finally find one, thankfully a copy showed up at a local shop and I jumped on it. As for the Switch stuff, my Turrican order finally arrived after 2-years, but they threw in some nice extras...hard to believe I waited so long just to check out Mega Turrican. My favorite addition from June has to be Dust, one of my favorite Metroidvanias. After missing out on the initial order run (I didn't know LRG existed back then :lol), New Year's sales, and more recently the LRG retail location...I was able score one from another collector in a LRG group at not so absurd price.

The Game Center CX episodes for that game are some of my favorite.
How are your sourcing you Famicom games? Just ebay?
Yeah, largely the internet (eBay and other sites). Not too many local shops around me anymore.

BoneSnapDeez wrote:So my "game collecting" days are drawing to a close. Mainly due to financial/space/interest reasons. The usual stuff, I suppose. Still playing retro games. Not purging my collection or anything, just slowing down.
Anyway, the Fami games I've acquired this year.
I hear you. My collecting has slowed WAY down. Not due to lack of interest, just diminishing returns. It’s getting harder and harder to find games I don’t already own (which makes sense…As my collection grows, there’re fewer games needed to complete it). It also doesn’t help that prices for the games I need have increased a lot, and most of the stores that sold vintage games have closed.

Pocky & Rocky!
I’m on the fence on that one. Have you tried it out yet?

It's fun! I was surprised to see that it's (mostly) a new game, though the first couple areas are lifted from the SNES Pocky & Rocky.
I don't have the SNES games so this is as close as I'll get.

Nice Famicom and Switch pick-ups, Bone! Would you mind posting the titles of these games? I'm curious in looking them up but I'm not familiar enough to tell what they are just by the labels.
Syndicate, nice haul of games as well! I would like to track down both Last Bronx and Baku Baku eventually. Always cool to see some Saturn stuff make an appearance in the thread.
Markies, you reloaded up on the backlog quickly! You were able to score a lot of good stuff in a short period of time. Also, enjoy the gaming convention. I wish I could attend Long Island Retro Gaming Expo in August, but I'll be traveling to see family around then so I'll miss out. I think there's something in CT in the fall, so maybe I can try to do that.
Nemoide, you should definitely join in and post pics of your recent pick-ups! It's great to get to see photos of what people have scored lately.
