Glad to see I made a cameo in the first post of the thread!

Also, V/H/S? I'm sorry.

I understand it's not October yet, but seeing as how this thread exists, it seems silly to not post this.

Scream 4

Is easily my favorite of the series right after the first. The whole concept with its riffing on remakes is brilliant. And the casting is excellent. If you haven't seen this one yet, hurry the F up.

EDIT:

Also, the Joystiq podcast this week is all about various horror games.

http://www.joystiq.com/2013/09/20/super ... s-outlast/

Give it a listen, and maybe you'll get some ideas of what to play this Halloween season.

Haha, nice, noise! And I'm also getting started a bit early.

Night of the Creeps

Aliens! Zombies! Axe murderers! Parasitic brain slugs! What's not to love? Seriously, this film is great, both for its riffing on the horror genre and also for its special effects. And all that '80s kitsche! I love it!

This sounds like a good time to start a list! I'll be lucky if I finish even one of these at the rate I've been playing games these past few months. I'm definitely going to be watching some horror movies, just haven't figured it out yet.

System Shock 2
Amnesia: Dark Descent
Silent Hill: Homecoming
Silent Hill: Downpour
[ XBL: downedcity | PSN: biggry | Steam: Merchandise ]

So here's a quick list of some interesting games for the next month

Sweet Home (nes)
Free icecream (flash)
deadly premonition (360, Ps3)
You are empty (Pc)
Curse the eye of isis (Ps2, xbox, PC)
demention the ward (DS)
rule of rose (ps2)
euthanasia (Free indie PC)
nosferatu the wrath of malaki (PC)
undying (PC)
the suffering (ps2, xbox, pc)
the thing (ps2, pc, xbox)
siren games

I already played free icecream (check the browser games threat) and been wanting to play Euthanasia (is a free indie game) but the game is a bit glitchy and won't load my save file, there's a patch of the game but it erases 2 levels and i wanted to see them before aplying the patch.

Alright! Now that I'm back from vacation I'm totally ready for this. I've recently picked up Hatchet, so I think I'll be starting with that so that I can compare it to it's sequel, which I watched last year.

I liked Hatchet, but I thought the sequel was better. There is an AMAZING kill scene in the first one though. You'll know it when you see it. I don't really love any of Adam Green's movies, but I like them and root for him since he's local.

Yeah, if I remember correctly, the "sequel is better" point was brought up last year, so I'm keeping my expectations in check.
