It's still good and now I have to check out the dlc, The Missing Link.

Yes the ending irritated people for one of the same reasons that Mass Effect's did. Although on a trilogy scale rather than a single game.
I recommend The Missing Link DLC. It takes place:
And it is quite the fun little side story.
Let strength be granted, so the world might be mended...so the world might be mended.

LF has the most atrocious slowdown. makes the game doable. actually, makes the game easy. i died only twice. on the first level. i beat the next 9 levels like a boss. seriously, the slowdown is awful. the two spiny things circling the ship and the little pea shooter upgraded to blades just wrecks shit causing the genesis not to be able to keep up with the awesomeness on screen. i would actually like to play this game without the slowdown to see how i'd fair.
it seems the general consensus on gaming forums is that the snes sucks at shmups and the genesis is boss at them. myth busted: the genesis blows at shmups also. i'm pretty sure 7 of the 8 shmups i've beaten so far has had slowdown issues, with steel empire and lightening force taking the cake. i think robo aleste didn't have any issues.
and i still can't be sol-feace.

Re: Games Beaten 2012
Finished Fear 3 a few nights ago. Also completed Mass Effect 1, 2, and 3 this year. Haven't been very punctual with updating my "list" but I don't finish many games so it's not hard to keep track of them.
Games Beaten 2012:
Mass Effect
Mass Effect 2
Mass Effect 3
Fear 3 (new!)
I know it sounds unbelievable, but it was actually a refreshing FPS to play through after being drilled with CoD and BF3 and every war clone FPS out there. The visuals are nice, the gameplay is smooth, and the final part of the story is intriguing and well tied together. It's another FPS, sure, but it's one worth playing.

I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes.

I just beat Medal of Honor ... by accident. (I'm not joking)
I was planning, when the next mission starts, I think I'm gonna go to bed ... but I was given an end-game cut scene instead.
The game's not too bad, to be honest. But there's a severe audio issue, you can't hear what anyone is saying and my computer's audio is maxed, so is the in-game audio. People's voices just sound like mumbles and they're issuing commands so it was very confusing sometimes what exactly I was suppose to be doing.

01/09 Golden Axe Warrior - SMS
01/15 Sonic Generations - PS3
01/25 Back to the Future The Game (all 5 episodes) - PS3
02/04 Soul Caliber - Dreamcast
02/11 Monster Tale - DS
02/23 Drill Dozer - GBA
03/05 Y's Book I - TG16 via Wii VC
04/29 Captain American and the Avengers - Arcade - MAME
05/31 Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes (DS)
06/12 Cave Story (DS)
06/20 Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters (PS3)
06/24 The Walking Dead: Episode 1 (PS3)
06/24 Final Fight (Double Impact on PS3)
07/03 Batman Begins (Xbox) NEW
Batman Begins followed the movie for about two thirds of the way. You can tell that the developers were given access to the general idea of the movie and could only replicate so much without seeing the movie (the game was released a day before the movie). The game is definitively the building block, or stepping stone for Arkham Asylum and Arkham City even though this game was a lot more linear. The game felt a little too linear at times with only one way to through each level, but the way in which you had to move through the levels made it feel as much as a puzzle game as an action game. The fight scenes and figuring out how to move through the levels was fun and I could easily tell that this game paved the way in both style, storytelling, and gameplay for the two newest Batman games.

Aladdin - Game Gear

This game was AWESOME! haha Seriously! I was pleasantly surprised. My girlfriend got me 4 GG games for $5 shipped from some website she uses and this was one of them. I've never played a game based off a movie that follows the movie as closely as this did. The music, dialogue and cut-scenes are dead on with the Disney film (condensed, of course). I haven't seen the movie in years but playing the game had it all coming back to me.
The first couple levels are on rails and I can only describe it as a "run 'n' jump." Fun fast paced memory based twitch gaming. Then it goes into sort of Prince of Persia style levels then the famous flying carpet levels and then basically it switches between those styles for the rest of the game. Until the last boss where you kick Jafar's snake-ass with a fuckin Ali Baba sword. Badass.

I'm more than comfortable with saying that every Aladdin game in the 90's kicked ass. They all had their own charm and some would argue Aladdin is one of the best games for the Genesis.
No updates other than my wife killed me in Dr.Mario on the snes last night. The only thing that was beaten was me. 2 player mode, level 8, medium difficulty. Out of 20 matches, I think I won 5. Just an ass handing. One game she won while I had 15 viruses left.
Will try to beat Captain & The Avengers on the nes sometime today.

I finished up Majesty: The Fantasy Kingdom Sim this morning... It was a total bitch for the last few levels. The final one took me about 3-4 hours of restarts because I kept getting screwed by the random map generator or my own stupidity. I've got the expansion sitting on my hard drive, but I'm gonna let it lie for a few months. This is only the second RTS campaign I've ever finished, the first being Starcraft, so I'm pretty proud of that.
The only other game I've beaten since February is Diablo 3.

January-June
Bride of Pin*Bot (from Pinball Arcade) - Vita
Pac-Man Championship Edition DX - PS3 *new*
Super Stardust Delta - Vita *new*
TOTAL: 39
2011 Games Beaten
2010 Games Beaten
I am going to count Pac-Man becasue I've completed more modes than noise did and he counted it, so what the hell. Lots of fun, and a nice incremental adjustment over the already excellent regular CE.
I didn't realize that, even though I played a lot of SSD around the time of the Vita's launch, I still hadn't finished the main campaign. Now I have. The game is great and well worth the asking price, and adds some nice modes not present in the earlier PS3 entry in the series.
I feel like I might be able to crank through some games here in the next month or two and get my total higher - it seems that the more I stay away from my "summer challenge" list the more fun I am having and the more invested in playing I become
That said, I think I'll go try to tackle Time Crisis again...
