Yeah, that was a big turn off for me, that Trevor was a big AHole drunk, and I never really liked it. I also didn't care for the other characters either, and also ... I guess I always saw Castlevania as those old NES incarnations, where it is just a big monster mash of all these different Hammer monsters, with Dracula as their boss. Sorta like a fun Saturday morning cartoon show, but dripping with some great aesthetic. I mean, the NES version still holds up with it's looks and it is on an 8-bit machine, which is just insane.
So the Netflix show didn't really take any direction like that, and thus, I never cared for it.
