It's been a while since I've played this game and I didn't get as far as I would have liked.
Can't wait to dive back into it (this time maybe on the GBA)
Together Retro: Shining Force
Re: Together Retro: Shining Force
I'm going to give it a shot as well. I went ahead and got Sonic's Ultimate Genesis collection for the PS3 since it has a few of the 2012 games on it as well.
Any advice for making the game as enjoyable as possible?

Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

If anyone wants to play it on a PC and is not confortable with emulation, Shining Force is $2.99 on Steam or Part of the SEGA Genesis Classics Pack 4 (Alien Soldier, Gunstar Heroes, Landstalker: The Treasures of King Nole, Light Crusader, Shining Force, Shining Force II, Shining in the Darkness, Streets of Rage, Streets of Rage 2, Wonder Boy III: Monster Lair) for $7.50

I might play this on Sega Mega Drive Ultimate Collection. I wanted to pick up a hard copy, but I have no money. I tried this once before and quickly left thinking 'it's no fire emblem' so perhaps I'll give it a better chance this time?
Re: Together Retro: Shining Force
I intend to play, though I don't know if I'll finish it within the month. Skyrim is coming out next week, and well, its probably gonna hog most of my free time.
I'll play it on Sonic's Genesis Collection on 360.

Re: Together Retro: Shining Force
Thanks for the link SB, I'll probably get it in that bundle. I will play that or Sega Smash Pack for Dreamcast.

Re: Together Retro: Shining Force
real talk: I started playing this like 3 days ago and I am REALLY loving it. I'm just starting the 2nd Chapter actually. I decided to go with the Dreamcast version of Smash Pack. The audio is terrible, but I just got this game last week and thought it was fitting to play a Sega game on a Sega console.

I know this sounds silly... but I have this on my Wii (VC) and am on chapter 3, but am thinking about starting over and playing on my PS3 (Ultimate Genesis Collection)...
Is there any advantage to playing either version... other than I am already farther along on the Wii?

Other than the fact that the ps3 version is HD, I would just continue on Wii.
