Atlus actually developed a wide variety of titles in those days. They were the contract developer for an insane variety of titles for the PC Engine, including the first Bonk title Bonk's Adventure.

Oh for sure and I played a good number of those games back then. Pure platformers were not something they published regularly which is a shame as they were so good at making them.
