The Sega Genesis Challenge Returns!!!
After a long hiatus, The Alfred Effect has relaunched and with it comes The Sega Genesis Challenge. I've posted the first two games of the series below and will be following it up with more of the classic episodes every couple of days. All of this is leading up to a brand new start to the series in January 2019 with the first new gameplay video and write-up since 2012!

I really like the concept of these videos. I enjoyed both of them so far, and your writeup on Wonder Boy was great stuff. Keep em coming!

Thanks man! I really appreciate the feedback. I've been trying to decide whether or not to go ahead and post a schedule of games or just leave it as kind of a "surprise" each day. Thoughts?

Re: The Sega Genesis Challenge
As a self-proclaimed Genesis aficionado this is a highly entertaining feature for me.
I'm really glad you ended up liking Ranger X. I think it's a fantastic game that a lot of people don't give a chance due to the learning curve of its controls.
I'm off to watch the rest of your stuff now.
