My only complaints with BM Zero consist of the insistence of preserving the weapon downgrade mechanic and that it gets Nintendo Hard later in the game. I got very frustrated several times trying to beat the game, enough so that I'm not actually interested in the sequels.

I'm currently playing Blaster Master Zero 2 and it is notably more difficult than the first game.
