I just about died when you interrupted that first meeting! Another great video Nathan! Also, I believe you said something to the effect that we would be seeing a new character in Talking Classics in another thread. A lady actor you had acted with before, I think it was? My bet's on on your wife (she was in that Popeye's Commercial with you, right?), but I'm curious to see for sure! Keep up the good work! I really hope this lasts!

God damnit! For some reason I can't view it!! There's like no video. Just a picture. What the fuck.

Can I just say one thing? I don't get this character at all. I mean I saw your appearance on The Gong Show first and thought it was hilarious and then I saw you as Trale Lewous and it was pretty funny too. When I mentioned this to my room mate at the time he suggested I watch some of your Talking Classics material and made me believe this was going to be some of the funniest stuff I had ever seen! Am I missing something? I generally like good comedy even if it's at other peoples expense, but Keith Apicary, to me anyway, just comes across as annoying and absurd. I'm not lashing out against what your doing, far from it. I believe everyone is entitled to what they think is humorous, but every time I see one of your videos posted on here all anyone can comment is how hilarious and funny you are in it and I just have yet to see it. Maybe I'm missing something but, to me personally, Keith Apicary is a nuisance and nothing more. No offense

Well chief, part of what's so funny to us is that we know guys like that, or we are like that, at least a little bit. Seeing some of the ridiculous humor played out is funny to us because we realize we might do some of that stuff, it's just that Nathan here takes it to an extreme that we think is great.
Heck, think about his Neo Geo obsession, or his unrelenting quest to convince us all just how awesome the Sega CD is, or how great a Virtua Boy is with a headstrap. You've seen this guy before. Heck, you see him here all the time. He's a joke on just how absurd we all are as retro gamers. Consider the GBA hooked to a VCR playing Contact. Keith Apicary claims it's the best way to watch movies on consoles, but has to get up to shut off the Blu Ray player in his PS3 because it's so loud he can't hear the movie. Sure, he makes weird claims and sometimes gets his information wrong, though that just adds to the experience for me. I'm laughing at this because I'm laughing at myself, and I think Nathan's a comedic genius for capturing that and getting me to do it.
Plus, his slapstick is great.

I see him as Napoleon Dynamite. You strike me as someone that I wouldn't like but others might.

Amen. We all find him funny because 1.) We can all relate in one way or another. Whenever I look at one of his videos I think about me or a friend and just laugh my ass off 2.) Haha, he's just funny as shit. Besides from Nathan being a very skilled actor, he's also a great comedian and boy I haven't seen anything this funny in a long time, and I'm serious about my Keith fan club. I still want my signed shirt too!

OK, I can definitely see your point and when I look at it that way, he does start to come across as something at least slightly amusing to watch. I'm not saying I'm rolling on the floor but I do see how he may come across as funny to some. I don't know, maybe I'm not as comedy inclined as I thought I once was. I personally thought his chef routine or his EXTREME hatred of Danny McBride was off the charts funny, but to this I say good job but I will probably never truly get it. No offense intended to anyone with this either.

Ill be honest, the other Talking Classics were not my style of comedy. However I thought the E3 backdrop, and knowing Nathans style, would make the series something worthwhile. Sadly Screwattack doesnt seem to like me at all.
Thats fine, Ill just have a tasty butterfinger.
