I am hopelessly stranded in the 90's for a lot of my gaming habits. Tube TVs are just better for older consoles.

Even my PC monitor is a CRT atm.

I definitely still use a crt for many systems.

It is in fact the very same xbr960 you sold me years back. :D

It has developed a very minor geometry problem in one corner, but that's to be expected over time, and otherwise works perfectly.

Love that tv.

Why yes I am.

I still have a 36in Sony Wega Trinitron in the living room for family TV, I been thinking about replacing it for the last couple of years but just cant bring myself to do it, it still looks great IMO, (although Im coming close to buying a LG OLED, it has none of the downsides to LCD & the blacks look stunning).

I have a last of the line 21in 4:3 Sony Wega Trinitron for my Wii/GC, which gives a great image & stunning colour. I play a lot of SNES/Megadrive & PC Engine on it using Retroarch.

I have Sony 20in 4:3 PVM for my PS2/DC & OXBOX which provides an absolutely stunning sharp & colourful image. (I have a spare one of these as well just in case it breaks!).

My daughter has another 21in 4:3 Sony Trinitron in her bedroom. She doesnt realise that actually in disguise, ie its another one of mine !!

We have a Samsung 21in flat panel 4:3 in our bedroom.

And last but not least I have at least 4 Phillips CM8833`s which I sometimes get out for some TATE shumps. These are probably the best CRT`s I have ever seen. They even beat the PVM which is saying something.

We have 3 TVs in the house, 1 being a CRT with some retro consoles hooked up.

Honestly, I'd kind of like to grab another while people are still dumping them cheap. It's much easier to keep our NES running this way.

I've got five TVs in the house (two of those - an LED and an LCD are "spares" that I keep in a closet unless they're needed). Of the three I keep set up is a big 1080p Sony LED that I use for all of my 7th/8th gen stuff as well as my PC and Dreamcast (outputting VGA into an HDMI converter), but the other two are CRTs. One is a big flatscreen (no light gun support, unfortunately) that I use for my Xbox (component), PS2 (component), N64 (S-video), Atari 5200 (RF, unfortunately), and TurboGrafx-16 (composite thanks to ApolloBoy), and whatever console I'm playing that I don't normally keep hooked up. I've got a smaller CRT that I use for light gun games where I keep my Intellivision (RF), Genesis/CD/32x (composite), Saturn (S-video), NES (composite), and Famicom (composite).

I still have a few CRTs - a 27" Toshiba, 20" Sony, and like a 12" RCA, along with a 19" Dell/Sony monitor that needs service adjustments.

None are particularly high end. The Toshiba has S-Video and Component, but isn't progressive, and seems impossible to dial the geometry in on properly (I may be spoiled by LCDs there). The Sony only has composite and RF, and the RCA seems to lose vertical hold on some things...

I use them for older consoles some, but I'm not particularly attached either.

Count me in for the Trinitron group. HD CRT 27" (with cracked bezel from the buy) with HDMI input. That thing is sweet for tate shmups from my laptop's HDMI (yes, I tate a ~180 lbs. CRT), but now it's getting good use with my Neo Geo.

I'm happy that thing is still kicking around.

I routinely kick myself for letting that one go but I'm also happy I sold it to you. On the one hand, I didn't really feel like moving it up to the mountains - but the image on that thing was just freaking awesome for everything.

Now that I've bulked up some I don't think I'd mind moving it as much.

Funny you should ask that. I just found a Trinitron on the side of the road when I was leaving work on Friday. You had better believe that I scooped that TV up, cleaner her up nicely, and played some Sonic 2 this weekend.

I'm actually on the look out for a side-of-the-road TV myself, atm. In my basement game room, I have a 40" CRT I got off of craigslist for like 30 bucks, and that things works great for all of my retro stuff.

But in my upstairs game room, I currently have a 70" color-projection TV (which was also acquired for $30, albeit without much though) and that bastard is currently sucking up WAY too much space in the tiny room I have it in. Nothing urgent, I just keep scanning the side of the road for something a little smaller, maybe something I can put on a desk.
