Some wonderful human being did a ton of bug fixes to the original Harvest Moon. They deserve a medal.

I can't wait to check it out. It looks awesome. The original release is so janky it isn't even funny.

I just added a library of great games to my Game Gear's flash cart.

That is awesome. This is even better than the Atomiswave to Dreamcast adaptions coming out.

Had no idea that the original release was as janky as it is. Really makes me want to check it out again with this release. Thanks for the tip!

The new 35th anniversary edition of Super Mario Bros. Special for NES adds in the new power-ups, enemies, and a bunch of the quirks of the PC games' engines that were previously not possible on the NES engine.

Super Mario Unlimited - Deluxe Has some impressive ASM hacking and graphical overhaul. It gets pretty hard a few levels in., but only counts attempts, not limited lives.

Not actualy a romhack, but incredibly impressive. Infidelity ported Mega Man 4 to the SNES.

With MSU1 audio from the PS1 port. I look forward to someone upping the graphics to have 16 bit color.

Not sure if this was ever mentioned but the rom hack for Mario Advance 4 -SM3 where the E-Reader levels were added via a patch. 38 extra levels. I finally got around to doing the whole patching thing and am quite happy about it.

Some new ones I recently tried on my flashcarts:

Giant Mario Bros

Mario Adventure AIO
http://www.romhacking.net/hacks/6275/
The definitive version as of this posting. Works on real hardware.

Doom 32X Resurrection

The authors put an incredible amount of work into this. So much better than the original.

When I finally re-attempt CV Circle of the Moon I'm going to apply this patch first:

This is a collection of two patches for the US release of Circle of the Moon. One of them gives Nathan the Dash Boots right from the start of the game, the other makes him always dash. Combined, they allow the player to dash always, right from the start, making the game significantly faster and less obnoxious.

If you've never played Circle of the Moon then you don't know the pain of double-tapping to run constantly.

The Silent Hill Play Novel on GBA finally got an English patch.
Worth doing a run through if you're a fan. I remember plodding through the game with a printed out fan translation. Much more convenient these days to have a patched rom!

Wasn't someone working on a Genesis port?
