I've ALWAYS thought Grid Runner was very underrated. Capture the flag meets Bomberman.

Also on SS. I know the SS port uses passwords... trying to recall if PSX leverages mem card. Played them both

Don't think I'll have time for a write up, but a suggestion. No1 talks about it & game is cheap... so maybe "best under x dollars" write up in future.
