Dinosaur Planet released

Post by fastbilly1 »

A private collector in Sweden owned a 2000 era copy that was handed off to a preservation group who modified the rom file to make it playable. Then they uploaded it to the Internet Archive, both in original and modified forms:

It is playable in Project 64, but I only got into the game before it crashed. I am running an older version of PJ64. I will investigate other versions later today.

Would this run on an Everdrive on real hardware? I’d definitely love to try it

This is the game that ended up being Star Fox Adventures, correct?

I got through a chunk of it yesterday and I like it quite a bit. It does have some really rough edges though.

So cool. I was under the impression that we would never ever see this and yet I'm watching a playthrough in chunks with my morning coffee. Just goes to show that anything's possible in this biz.

It's neat to finally have a true point of comparison between what was originally intended versus what we finally got. I've always been a bit of a defender of Starfox Adventures, I think it's a serviceable little Zelda clone that expanded Starfox's universe a bit for better or worse.

I'm still waiting for someone to come up with and dump one of those review copies of SNES Wing Commander 2. I know you're out there dammit.
